If you post could you say why too :p I'd like to evaluate my choices like that as well.I've heard the MX510, MX700, and MX710 are really good... havent heard much about the 310 though.. hmm I'll check them out. Also, what about the MX1000 or MX900?I'm down to the 510, 700, 900 or 1000.
I don't like wireless mice. Mainly because I have had bad experences with them, and slamming them down onto you desk doesn't help...trust me. I had a GE, it ate batteries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The respones time can be less, and it can be hard to do small movements becuause it doesn't register right away. All I know is that I will be getting Logitech the next time I get a computer.
never had a proble, you got to keep the eye clean and the route between the sensor and mouse relatively "electircal stuff" clear. the Logitec mice come with a docking station to charge the mouse up on, The MS ones done, so just buy 4 mouse-sized rechargable batteries, 2 in the mouse, 2 on charge at all times, saves alot of cash in the long run.
microsoft currently has the best tracking of any mainstream mouse on the market (yes, beating logitech's) and since you used a ms before, you should prolly stick with it since yur hand will be used to the positioning already

Sais who?!? And who uses mainstream mice for gaming?!?!?

Sorry I'm a Logitech user since my late Amiga500 days (after the original mouse died of horrible button abuse :p ) and never had an issue with any Logitech mouse. I held a few of the MS ones, they feel cheap and plasticy compared to my MX510.

Also sorry I haven't posted more details on the MX510 since I assumed it's easy to find. But just incase this is all the techy stuff...

Personally I love it, it's quite heavy for a mouse but I like that, it feels solid and looks teh skeech in blue. It has 8 buttons what do you want more and all the nice Logitech driver options, like accleration and speed. And did I say it as a BLUE METAL finish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for the wireless and rechargeing mice, the Logitech ones with the docking stations look nice (even if pricy). But I don't know how well they

are for gaming, I think the newer generations don't lag as much as older models used too.

Owning you with an MX510,

The Logitech MX series is a good choice.

I have the wireless mx700 and it is very good. Relatively heavy compared to my beloved ball mouse, but I adjusted very quickly.
Yeah, for the price a $30 mouse sound more appealing. And that $30 dollars mouse is going to perform well. But if your looking for the best not considering price then the MX1000 is IMO and many others, currently the best mouse on the planet within its style or class. I have a $30 dollar mouse and had a $10 that did well, but I've personally tried the MX1000 a few times and I feel spoiled now. I didn't think this mouse would be much better than what I have, but I was wrong. It fit well in my hand. Its not that heavy compared to other wireless ones. Nice selection of button that are actually in the right place. From what I hear it's wireless compability are much better than previous ones. I've always been skeptical of wireless mouse, so I would still perfer a wired one but I'm willing to give it a try.
