ok my wallpaper will not show up in the back ground it jus goes to a default color like black or white

    Do you have active desktop set to view as webpage? Maybe that's what's wrong. just right click on the desktop and the menu will show up and you'll see Active Desktop then click view as webpage, see if this fixes the problem.

    ok right click your desktop check properites. go to effects button and make sure that "Hide icons when the desktop is viewed as a webpage" is not checked. See if that fixes it.
