thing. There's something out there that tests your FPS before you actually play the game, anyone know where I can download?
If you have CS source you can use the stress test. or see if you can downlaod the stress test.

Alright well, I found a video that was suppost (sp?) to be the test, but my download rates were like, 25kb/s on a 200 MB file, so I aborted. I can wait for 6 days (hopefully!!!)

Go to CS source, goto video stress test if you have it...

I don't, I want to see what kind of FPS I'll be getting. I got around 30 with the uhh... "free" version I had awhile back, but I deleted it.
You can't just dl it..What specs do u have?30 fps isn't really that good >_>
118 FPS 1024x768 at everything high but no AA or Ansio.AMD 2800 oc'd to 2380 mhz. 260fsb x 9. 512mb ram. GF FX6800 at 400core and 850mem.Oh Yeah WIN ME too.

I got 70fps with medium/high settings on 800x600

55fps with the same settings 1024x768

In CSS I get 20-30fps

neeeecropost :D

but back on topic,

it's so much lower in your actual game because cs:s has MUCH more activity going on than in the stress test.

in the test, all it has is a few moving objects and fire, which doesn't compare to what happens in-game.
