my brother did a system restore to our computer when it froze..and now when we try to start steam...it says | steam.exe(main exception): win32 structured exception at 0137047F: Attempt to write to virtual address 2167946511 without appropriate access rights.|

 

if anyone knows how to fix meh steam PLZ PLZ post ASAP.. Thank You!

    Try the usual sequence of remedies:

     

    - delete ClientRegistry.blob, reboot and steam should update itself

    - reinstall Steam and HL

    - reformat disk and reinstall Windows.

     

    One of them should work :p

    ya i had to reinstall steam..and i forgot to save my sprites..so now i have to get back my x-hairs...and I NEED A map pack!
