Don't know about you guys, but I'd LOVE to see more headlines like this!

Largest spammer sued by Texas 8)

"OIL RICH US state, Texas is suing one of the world's largest spammers for several million dollars,

The Texas attorney general said PayPerAction and Leadplex sent out misleading email and they are suing who they say are the company's owners -- Ryan Samuel Pitylak, a University of Texas student, and Mark Stephen Trotter of California.

Pitylak and Trotter are ranked by SpamHaus.org has ranked the pair as running one of the top five spam operations in the world.

The suit charges the pair with using misleading subject lines in email and making numerous misrepresentations in the body of the email.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Texas worked with Microsoft and software companies to set "spam traps" - email accounts established with the intent of collecting spam messages and tracking down the source. The one set by Microsoft received 24,000 emails from the operation."

agree'd i can unsubscribe from it forever but they just keep sending them:mad:

Most times the unsubscribe links/buttons only verify for them that there is someone on the other end that is looking at them, and then they continue to pass around/sell your address to others as a verified address.. :D I agree, spammers/spyware/virus creators need to be tied to a pole and shot.. :D
