Music Help

my minidisk player broke a long time ago, and i figure it is about time to buy a new music playing device :) so i was wondering if any of you could help me find a cheap new player... i am not too picky, i just want something that will play my music. i don't need 100000 million songs to be held and i would like it to be as cheap as possible  please don't tell me to get and ipod, there are WAY too many of those at my school, and i consider them to be a waste of money...
I've got this thing called an RCA Lyra. It holds 128MB, plus a memory card slot. I've had it for about a year, and the only problems I've had with it were self inflicted (dropped it a few times, and the thing that holds the battery in broke off, so I have to use tape) and another one was PARADIGM INFLICTED (*GLARES AT PARA*).

Dude I just sold my old MP3 player on Ebay, I would have sold it to you (with a discount lol) Anways before my ipod mini (it is great besides the fact that my battery life is only about 4-5 hours, grrr) I owned a NEX II by frontier labs (check out their website cow, they have more recent players) You can buy them on ebay as well! It uses CF cards for memory (so get a couple 256mb or 512mb cards, they are so much cheaper now) And is fairly inexpensive! I have abused that player so much but it never acted up with me, it is extremely reliable (has solid state construction-no moving parts) The nex IIe is still offered on thier site, which is virtually the same as the NexII just a diff. color! Anyways, check out the site and let me know what you think! :)
