March 5, 200520 yr What is with this rash of people coming into the server with LAN pings. 5ms or lower ping times. The first one I saw was about 2 or so days ago. Guy had a 1 ping stating it was a script he wrote because he didn't want anyone to see his ping... why in the hell does it matter what people see your ping as, it just makes everyone curious what you are doing when you have a LAN ping... Since then I have seen atleast a dozen others with these LAN type of pings. Is it a cheat, but the side effect is you get a LAN type of ping? Why would people in mass start downloading a script to have a LAN ping, it makes no sense at all. And the funny thing, every person that I have seen with these pings, OWN us all. We had to ban 1 person this morning for blatant wallhacking and guess what.... he had a 5ms ping...
March 5, 200520 yr I'll keep an eye out for this, I don't think it's physically possible to have a ping under like, 15 or something, simply for communication.

The reason for keeping your ping secret is if you have always have a high ping and you don't want to get kicked for it. Many servers kick for high pingers and this is just a way to bypass that.
March 6, 200520 yr some server admins kick for high pings pings under 5 and close to 0 can be achieved with photon and quantum computers (yet to be released to the general public)

March 8, 200520 yr We can adjust the server to prohibit this from happening if it really becomes a problem.
