April 14, 200521 yr Poof It is set at 100 right now... We will keep a close eye on things. If ANYONE see any additional choke or loss please let us know so we can lower it back to 66 and try that. I spoke with Gator and we just raised the tic rate. http://forums.csnation.net/images/forumicons/bowdown.gifhttp://forums.csnation.net/images/forumicons/bowdown.gifhttp://forums.csnation.net/images/forumicons/bowdown.gifhttp://forums.csnation.net/images/forumicons/bowdown.gifhttp://forums.csnation.net/images/forumicons/bowdown.gifhttp://forums.csnation.net/images/forumicons/bowdown.gifhttp://forums.csnation.net/images/forumicons/bowdown.giftytyty
April 14, 200521 yr Did you set the tiCrate or the ticKrate? Cause I think whichever one you set, it was supposed to be the other one. TicKrate is the number you're supposed to change. Most people say ticrate though, since that was the name for it in CS 1.6. EDIT: Just double checked. I'm almost positive it's the same. You can tell if tickrate is higher or not if you have net_graph 3 on. Next to "in" on the far right side there is a number. It hovers around what the server tickrate is and right now it's still staying around 33 for everybody on the server, which is what the default tickrate is. EDIT: And thank you for deciding to raise the tickrate :peace:
April 14, 200521 yr We corrected the problem it is now at -tickrate 100 and I did OWN. I went 12-1 on office! I do however think it is almost too fast. We need to keep an eye for complaints of choke or loss. Has anyone player around with it at say 75?
April 14, 200521 yr it moves at the speed the game was ment to go at, the server is not updating faster to the client (if i understand correct), so it goes at the speed the game was supposed to. people should try cl_interpolate 0, and will notice a BIG diffrence between 100 and 33 tickrate servers, and your registration will be great.
April 14, 200521 yr yes i notice a extreme fast firerate on the mp5, it seemed it been cooking off alot faster, and a bit more accurate if u control it
April 17, 200521 yr excellent, I shall give CSS a try sometime tonight and see if it makes a diff. If I see alot less "WTF, PWN?" situations, I'll be back in there more :o
May 15, 200520 yr I got an interesting link to a web page from Mojo the Monkey. It shows where the hitboxes really are during gameplay. Check it out...you will be amazed. http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=css_hit_b0x_bb Killer-Worm
