So... who is playing guild wars? Either has played in the beta or plans to get it this wendsay (well thursday for you all, as a beta test i get a day early)

 

Anyways... I personaly love the game, and am the leader of a guild called "Guardians of Light" [GoL]

 

If your interested, you can also ask me if you wanna be in the guild. Most likly TAC members will have a definite incresed chance of becoming an officer.

 

Atm, Basald and Wheat are in (G is too, but might not play when it comes out) and Jairyn is planing on getting the game and joining.

I probably won't get it first thing, but I think I'll buy it eventually. Who knows, maybe I'll finally learn why people bother with MMOs (the monthly fee ones). The fact that the people making it also worked on Diablo is a good sign that it will actually be fun, not the mindless killing of rats for hours and hours and hours and... *goes on for 20 days* ... and hours. So who knows, even though I don't like MMOs all that much, you might see me on this one.

 

Oh, just as an FYI, for RPGs and more... cerebral games like that, I tend to go with the name ZorlenTrivar. It's supposed to represent my good side, while Zuljin is my dark, murderous, stabbity-death-loving side. If it confuses you, join the club; I don't get it either

Is the gameplay anything like it from playing the beta?

dude, it's from the people who MADE that game (Diablo II)! (Well...EX-Blizzard employees)it's going to be slightly like that, but with lots more stuff and better gameplay (hopefully)

What lack of movement in Morrowind and Neverwinter? In morrowind there's the Boots of Blinding Speed. You'll be zipping around with those, just make a spell or enchant something with 100% magicka resist for 2 seconds, equip the boots during that time and no blindness! For Neverwinter, Haste and items that grant it will solve the slowness factor, give you an extra attack per round AND make you harder to hit. There's always a solution for every problem, you just have to look hard enough.

 

But anyways, if I get the money, I will probably pick up the game. There's no monthly fee so there's not much to lose.

I will prolly be getting it. I hope the game play is a lot like diablo. I know you said it was made by the same people, but the gameplay can always change. Either way i am looking forward to it.

Guild wars is like if Everquest and Diablo II had a baby.

 

 

So the action will be very diablo II oriented, but a LOT more team based. Which is a good thing, although you can still get henchmen to adventure with you if your a lewser with no freinds

no, the people working on this are Ex-Blizzard employees who worked on DiabloII

and are there servers for this game? Do characters port over from server to sevrer.

Just startin a char, just got the game IM SO EXCITED

i hate this game. it took me a couple hours to load the main zone. and each time i try to battle, it dls 200 more files i dont want/need taking an extra 10 min, by then the game is done, and im stuck in a world by myself that was ment for 6 ppl. i played the actual game too.

 

i hate it. it sucks. blah blah blah. maybe if they COMPLETELY tore down the user interface and rebuilt it from scratch, it would be slightly better. no thank you. its worth it to just pay for a great game. not gonna bother with this game, might as well delte me lol.
