May 14, 200520 yr the offical site is up http://www.xbox360.com/ this looks amazing but I'll probably hold out buying it until I see what the PS3 and Nintendo Revolution brings to the table
May 14, 200520 yr Ehhhh I think im going with the big N theyve been with me ever since i bought my first console... SNES.. good times.... o wait well ya it looks cool but im with caste in i wanna see what the others have to offer
May 14, 200520 yr i know the PS3 will be using a cell processor, probably running at 4-5 ghz. The cell is made of 8 or so mini proc's and has a ridiculously fast RAMBUS memory architecture. However there are several things going against it: 1) 3 frickin 64 bit, 3ghz procs in the XBOX 360, thats pure brute strength right there 2) The cell is a BRAND new tachnology, apparently gives off a lot of heat, and is produced on a LARGE die. 3) Im going to take a guess and say that because its all new stuff, the PS3 is going to be a biznatch to program for. the 360 uses new stuff that is still based on existing architectures, so it should be much easier to work with and to exploit its power. As for the revolution..... I liked the gamecube, it was vastly superior to the PS2 IMO, had some good games (fewer than the xbox though), and was nice and cheap. In a nutshell, it was the perfect "party" console. The kind of thing you have running the background when you and your friends are having a mass goof-off session. But I have a feeling that the revolution is going to be mostly vapor ware
May 14, 200520 yr i have a ps2, i was going to get a game-cube, but the game selection dissapointed me. i might get a 360, depends on price, games, and how it compares to every other console.
May 14, 200520 yr Three 3Ghz 64Bit processors? Holy crap. That's going to be expensive. But man, imagine the sweetness of the games. Oh, I've also heard that there's free online play (ie no paying monthly to use) Might get it just for online play
May 14, 200520 yr yeah you people probably play sports games on your consoles dont you? i dont so thats mainly why i dont like xbox. im into adventure and shooting games. sry ill pass on XBox.
May 14, 200520 yr If a really good football or hockey game is released, I'll play it. Those are the best to play.
May 14, 200520 yr Author the offical site is up http://www.xbox360.com/ this looks amazing but I'll probably hold out buying it until I see what the PS3 and Nintendo Revolution brings to the table Thanks for the link Caste, I tried to find it late last night but I guess they waited until the day to put it up. But ya I can't wait to see what PS3 and NR will be like. And once again there will be major competition between them all, let the battle of the consoles begin

May 16, 200520 yr mario party *any of them* are THE best party games for a group of friends just messin around till the wee bits in the morning. ahhhhh good times -G trueI remember the old days of the n64, me and four friends having sleep overs and playing a good 12 hours straight
May 16, 200520 yr n64 eh? good times....i have one but i dont have many games for it...to be honest...>_<....i bought it for Pokemon....=O
May 16, 200520 yr The price could be as high as $399, but Microsoft will probably have to keep it down around $299 because (1) need to keep it in range of other consoles, (2) not make it a full PC yet. I am excited about the PS3, even if the 360 functions over 1 teraflop. 8)
