One fix, although a pain, is to: * Create your buddy list. * Exit BFV * Go to Program Files ==> EA GAMES ==> Battlefield Vietnam ==>Mods ==>Bfvietnam ==>Settings ==>Profiles ==>YOUR PROFILE NAME * Right-Click BuddyList.con and choose Properties * Under Attributes, check Read Only * Start BFV * Now Exit BFV * There will be a newly created folder as outlined above, but this time it's located in My Documents ==>Battlefield Vietnam ==>Mods ==>Bfvietnam ==>Settings ==>Profiles ==>YOUR PROFILE NAME * Make BuddyList.con read only like you did above. * To make this stick, the files have to remain Read Only, which means you'll have to manually edit the list in notepad or whatever, save it, then apply the read only."
