June 2, 200322 yr Hey, I play paintball and I'm looking into buying a new barrel. I have this one in mind for $60, a Smart Parts Progressive. http://pbreview.com/pics/progressive.jpg What do you think, is it worth the $60? Click Here to see the full line of colours.
June 3, 200322 yr I have found that the ball matching the barrel is more important. All paintballs from Mfgr to Mfgr vary in size weight encasing material etc which reacts differently inside the barrel thus affecting accuracy.Do some searching in paintball forums and find out what barrel works with what brand or find a barrel that does different brands well. They do make a difference in accuracy, CO2 usage(usually less), ball breakage(usually less), and the most important thing.......Uber looks.I have a 16 inch sniper barrel on my gun and it is far better than the stock short one.Mac
June 3, 200322 yr Author Nice Mac, nice. Well I buy what are called "Big Ball" but they work in my current barrel great. They are called big ball just because they have a harder shell than most youd buy at say Walmart or Canadian Tire. BTW here is the latest from this guy: absolutly mint. Barrel is $80 new, I've had it for 2 months and used it twice. It's a 14" smart parts progressive.

June 11, 200322 yr I'm not in to the waiting back and sniping part of paintball i found out its more fun to just run up there while your team gives you cover and just blow the other team apart with a paintball grenade or two and a few rounds so i found out a nice 14 2002 Dye Ironman Series Boomstick its nice because at ranges of like 10-70 feet the balls always on target so thats pretty important . Although it is a $119.00 barrel its has always worked for me.
