What resolution do you set your monitor at?

highest it goes ( :o ) anything lower makes it looker very blurry

1280x1024

I'm so damned proud of myself

I've been considering bumping up to 1600x1200 for desktop stuff only

games are at 1024x768 (or, like CS 1.6 and GW...1280x1024)

I could go to 1600x1200 but im getting to old so i run 1152x864

Where is the 640/480 option? I like that resolution very much. 320/240 is also nice for most of my games.

1280 x 960 desktop and games at 1024 x 768.

I'm 16 and gotta have my nice tiny text that no one else can read :o

Plus I like having a lot of real estate on my desktop.

I have 1280 x 1024 when work under windows and 1280 x 960 in any games... But sometime in 1024 x 768 when glithes begin with some games...

1024x768 for desktop (it's the best I can get with this old IBM monitor) and 800x600 for games.

17" mon, refresh rate 70 , 1024 desktop & browser ... 800 res BFV ... 640 res FA, for bigger targets :o

1024x768 for windows/linux is enough.

1024x768 for fullscreen games

800x600/1024x768 for windowed games. (Good for talking on msn... surfing the net... or playing 2 or 3 games simotaniously... [yes... I have done this]).

YIKES. why would you go higher than 1024 for gaming. so hard to see IMO.

ok i dont get how you people can see with 1600x1200 i run 1024x768 for desktop and 800x600 for FA and 1024x768 for CSS. :o ! go uniqueness!

my video card hates me, so i run games at 800x600. desktop, tho', is at 2560x1040!

The reason people use 1600x1200 is when they have a 19" or 21" moniter.

 

I don't know how many 17" even support over 1280x1024.

a moniter i have from an old gateway is 17" and goes up to 1600x1200

Know your monitor specs. Sending it too high a res and/or refresh rate could burn it out.

I've got mine locked at 800x600 100 refresh rate use that res for everything
