I'm not sure. All I can think of at moment, is possibly suspicious appearance of "HLTV" at bottom of first screenshot. :D

I would go to www.broadbandreports.com and try the Line Packet Loss Testing.

They test is in the Tests/Tools section, but you must register (its free). You may have to wait a few minutes to get in line, but it would be a good starting point. The test takes about 15 minutes to run, but it will let you see where, and if, you are experiencing line problems.

Also, have you tried playing on other servers to see if they you experience the same problem?

NM after hours of work. I mean hours.

It is my new router gone bad.

I am using my old 4 port Belkin which my Dad was using till recently.

Hooked it up and back up.

Wierd how you could surf and download but not play games.

My Linksys BEFSR41 was only a few months old and had all recent firmware updates as well.

I am going to get a 8 port Linksys now.

Wireless Linksys for the win. Plugged in my card, put power to the router + connect WAN, internet connection established, much happiness ensues.

Well I got teh 8 port Linksys.

Stuck again. I have two switches at different parts of the house. I wanted to send a cable to one switch and another cable to the other switch.

NOPE.

Turns out the Linksys has only ONE uplink port. THAT SUCKS. It did not say that anywhere that I read but says it on the back of the box. So much for buying online.

Need to find a router with 8 ports and all autosense.

If not I will get this one.

uh.. i dunno about the rest of you buy my linksys wrt54g with the sveasoft firmware only has one uplink port but that goes to my cable modem.. port 1 goes to another hub/switch with 4 or so computers on that as does port 2.. port 3 and 4 go to computers... everything else is wireless G connect...

I want to have a dedicated line to each switch instead of uplinking to an uplink etc etc.

Remember I have 12 computers here.

I would like to have 3 comps run directly off Router. Each 8 port switch has a separate line from the router. Each 8 port Switch will have 4 or 5 computers on it.

I can survive with a 4 port. I would just have to string a line from a switch back upstairs to the TV computer.

That happened to me last week. I could search the web and download stuff really fast but the only game I could play was CS:source, HL1 stuff wouldn't work, neither would WoW.

I thought maybe it was my wireless so I moved my comp to my dsl cable and it worked fine. Then I tried wireless again... I found out that when I have my wireless antena pointed up no games will work, when its straight out everything works... it freaked me out lol.

My 8 port Linksys started doing the same thing. I am frustrated now. I can run off the modem fine. My Older Belkin runs but if I have 6 or more comps online it will go offline and lock up every now and then.

I need to find out what is going on.

I just ordered an elcheapo router from www.compgeeks.com. Wewill see what this will do. Next is to get e new modem.

Hmmm, Mac you said you had a BEFSR41 right?... Well I got the same model maybe version 2 of the unit. It hasn't gone bad but I have 3 computers hooked to it and every so often I get "Network Cable Disconnected" on my task bar. It could be due to the firmware, it has been updated since I got the things. This disconnection happens more when I'm playing online games such as Firearms..

Any help?
