You know i thought microsoft's antispy was doing a great job but apparently not. my system was riddled with malware and lots just wouldn't clean out so i did a re-install of everything. I know I got slack on my own preachings but dont forget to use Spybot s&d and ad-aware too, or you'll be sorry!!!!!!
I think hijack this works better than anyother program out there. It is effective if you know how to use it. But don't mess around with it if you don't know what you are doing.

Spyware blaster!!!! (it prevents spyware from being installed.) Also immunize when you download new detection with S&D. If you do not download the new detections the stuff is basically useless. A lot of the new virus out there put adware on your system now also. So you need a AV that stays UPDATED.

For ALL computer users I suggest putting the following things on your system

Search and Destroy (then keep it updated AND immunize)

SpywareBlaster (download the latest def and ENABLE protection)

Microsoft Anti-Spyware

AVG Anti-Virus (free) If you do not already have and AV or your AV is expired)

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 (click get AVG Free)

On every PC i have installed: Norton Internet Security 2005, Microsoft AntiSpyware, Spybot S & D 1.4, Ad-Aware SE Personal Build 1.6 Personal.

Of course with latest definitions. I check everytime i am on my pc's. Never had any problems with spy's or with a virus. All works fine.
