Yeah, you really should stop being hot headed MacGyver. If you looked at the evidence for a bit longer...you'd see that there could have been nothing said between BigJ and Drag over the mic...well simply because they were on opposite teams. And as we all know, your server doesn't have all talk on. So good job on using your brain [or the lack there of] to do some simple problem solving. Next time maybe you should stop to think for a moment rather than making up a buncha stuff that you don't know if it's true or not and labeling it as the reason you ban a person. If you find a good reason to ban a person, all the more power to you but at least make sure you have your facts straight.

I was banned from the server for "being a jerk and a total ******* and a bully. Telling people to shut up and not listen to TAC rules."

First, I wasnt making fun of BigJ. He said to my teamate that is was BS that he knew where he was, even though his rifle barrel was sticking out. I was just defending my teamate and simply said, "Your rifle barrel was sticking out." Then he continued to say that my teamate hacked, even though it was very obviose that his barrel was sticking out from behind the box.

Does this give you just cause to break the rules? (More to come on this.)

 

Then i proceded to defend my teamate and in so doing i might have called him an ass. If ass is a swear word, put it in your filter. If it isnt in the filter, it isnt a swear word on your server.

Defending one's teammate requires expletives? The reason "ass" is not in the filter, as Seth pointed out earlier, is because the word "ass" is often found in many other words. If a person were to try to say a perfectly legal word with "ass" in it, then that word would be modified beyond it's effective state. This happens all too often and many grew tired of this occuring. Therefore, it it was taken off the filter. But does this give you the right to freely say it? No, not at all. It is still a derogatory term. Use your common sense. Why would we place other similar words on the filter but not this one?

 

I like playing on your server, but i was not a bully or an asshole to BigJ. The only times i tell people to shut up, is when im joking with them. I joke alot. I just needed to explain that to the admins because i do want unbanned but if im not, it fine with me.

Jeez, the server rules still apply here.

 

If you have to explain to the admins, "I was only joking", then there is something wrong. Sarcasm and a lot of jokes do not play well over the internet. A joke between two players may not look like a joke to the rest of the server.

You were warned not to swear by a player who frequently plays on TAC. He knew it was wrong to say "ass", why didn't you?. As far as I'm concerned, that was your warning. What I find interesting, is that rather than dropping the subject, and waiting for official clarification from a TAC member (by forums or server), you continue to say it. Doesn't make too much sense to me.

 

Just to stress again, we keep a friendly server where a filter is used to help extract all of the derogatory remarks. By now, you should have learned that a remark like "dumb ass" or "ass", whether they were jokes is relative, is not proper to use. If you weren't able to catch on to that, well then I'm sorry.

Drag, here is the short version of why you're not getting unbanned anytime soon. You pissed off Mac. You lied. You wasted his time. You're screwed. That being said, BigJ needs to be perma-muted on the server IMO. More harm than good comes from his speaking or typing.

PS to Mac-since the issue of the word ass has come up more than once perhaps it should find its way into the obscenity filter? I personally think it is wrong for us to enforce the language policy if we won't spend a few minutes to add it in.
