June 18, 200520 yr Anyone that lives in New York want to give me an estimate at how long it would take to drive by taxi from Central Park to Flushing Meadows (tennis stadium) on a Saturday Night @ 7pm? I refuse to miss a Tegan and Sara concert.
June 19, 200520 yr Concert at 7:00 pm = go to the gate at 12:00 pm for to be sure to be the first at the gate entrance... If you go to the 4 or the 5 pm, you will miss the concert. First time that I go to a concert it's when my son go to see Britney Spears at 200 KM. from the house in Belgium: I drived him to the gate at 12:00 pm and the concert begun at 20:30 pm, 3 hours before the concert, the parking was full of people and we are first at the gate entrance. Wait 8 hours it's long when you are alone but we speak easy with poeple. And when I go to have a place, I entered in the VIP area with the normal stand up place because most the time there is the VIP who enter first: lot of space in this area and all normal space was full and poeple are compressed... Egidio.
June 19, 200520 yr Author The band I'm going for is on stage at 5:30. I will most likely already have stage passes when I get to the venue. I just talked to a friend of mine who suggsted the subway since apparently theres a large body of water between Queens and Central Park...who knew. It is 7 and some odd miles total distance. Assuming I already have passes and I take golf carts as far as I can then sprint to a subway/cab to both events pure travel time will be like what? 30 minutes? an hour? more?
June 19, 200520 yr i say you just leave extra early and make sure youre there early. you cant always determine time when it comes to NYC
