I sincerely despise New York. Having been here only a week I'm counting the seconds till I fly back home. I don't understand why so many people would choose to live in such a small space.

Upsides:

Frequent flyer miles

Really good food everywhere

Tegan and Sara @ SummerStage

Billy Graham's last crusade

Meeting Bill and Hillary Clinton

Meeting Jars of Clay

Meeting Tree 63

Visiting my cousin

Downsides:

No clue where I was 1/2 the time

No car (dad had rental)

No clue what time zone I was on

Being in Manhattan during the *** Pride Parade

Tourist-unfriendly Chinatown-no balisong for me

Having to listen to Ron ***smith play crappy music @ SummerStage

Nearly dying on Coney Island's rollercoaster (never safety checked...ever)

Nearly dying of heat stroke on a daily basis

Flying back to my little O.C. bubble tomorrow thank God. Goodbye huge awful city.

<end vent/rant> :p

Being a part of Manhattan during the *** Pride Parade

Fixed it for you basald :p hehe.

Yeah, i wouldn't much want to live in new york either.

Be easy on NYC man. It might be different but it's not bad. If you have a local friend to show you all the good spots its a good time. Even in china town, I've been down there 4 times now and i've always experienced something new. I'm not trying to be mean, but if you ever get a chance, sit next to a hobo and listen for a while. You will learn alot about the bad effects from drugs. Just my personal experience. :p But you're right, there's good things (central park) and bad things (the Yankees) about New York.
well most of the gruffs you have are just lack of information. If you figured out where to go, had a car, and asked someone what timezone New York is in (I'm pretty sure Est) you'd probably have different feelings

What have the "non-straight" people done to you? I came here to read about New York not g ay bashing. Keep your opinions to yourself.

Wouldnt go there unless i was packing. ;) meaning carrying a gun, in case u dont know what i mean. i have heard that nyc is nice in some spots, but i would be afraid to drive my car for fear i would come away with just pieces and not a whole car. :peace: BY THE WAY NY YANKEES RULE!!!!!!! anybody who says different answers to me :D

/ducks the rotten fruit being hurled my direction..

Actually I have never been either...

As for the parade I think from the sounds of things he was caught in the parade, as almost a part of it. From that stand point I dont think I would have wanted to been in the it either. I am not a "g ay baster" or anything, I just dont want to be in their parade or stuck in ANY parade for that matter when I have somewhere to go. You may want to think of that point before you are to quick to label him as a g ay basher as he never offered judgement on the type of parade being wrong. I dont think it is fair to take him out of context on that subject. Political correctness...GOD...I hate it.. (oops I said the G word)... /ducks again
