It's tonight, hells yes. ;)

Any predictions on who's gonna win? Even though I'm a Yankees fan, I think David Ortiz is gonna win it.

(this is mainly an American only thing, but If any of you guys from other countries know what I'm talking about, feel free to participate)

Bobby Abreu hit 24 in first round, a record I might add. He isn't doing to so well in the second round. Well, he will end up with the most ever hit in the derby.

Cub's fan here ;) . (Don't cross my path or you might get cursed :) )

I'm a little late to guess, so I'll just say if D. Lee was in it, he would win.

GO CUBS GO!!!

Derrek Lee is working the triple crown right now, something an NL player hasn't done since 1937. His batting average is awesome at the moment.

Yeah, Lee is awsome. I am also a Cubs fan. Next year they will win.

Abreu WINS! 41 Home runs. The most ever scored in the derby. Next best is 27.

Im probably going to have my US citizenship revoked for saying this, but: Baseball is not only boring, but the players are a bunch of whiny, overpaid, steroid pumping losers. I'd rather be who I am right now than be a major league player

I will agree with the overpaid part. A lot of them are just going after the money and are willing to change teams anually to do so. Loyalty is a rarity on the MLB teams of today and love of the game seems to be taking a back seat to salaries. Whatever happened to be happy with playing baseball for a living and not complaining about money. This is the reason I like watching the A's on TV and going to their games, even though I would consider myself more of a Giants fan. The A's are a group of fun young guys not being payed a lot who just love to play baseball. They play for the game and have fun doing it, unlike a lot of teams.

Other than that, I love baseball. Who doesn't like heading out to the ballpark, rallying their team on, yelling in approval of a great play, booing the ump when he makes a bad play, and watch in awe as the home team executes the perfect suicide squeeze for the win? ;)

Sharp if i was near you right now i would smack you :) never go against the family (giants family that is) barry is the only overpaid poophole on the giants they should just drop that loser (long story got bad history with him). Going to the ball game is one of my favorite things to do, I flew from hawaii back home last month just to see a giants game (dont tell my parents that). On the point that they are all drug users and overpaid etc... Alot of sports stars are drug users not just steroids but marajauna (sp), coke, booze but they are getting away with it(in no way am i saying its right from them to do it i think it puts a black mark on the game). In a perfect world i would love the players to go out the just cause they love the game but thats not how we are as people or as a society.

Mr

i wonder wut would happen if a golfer took steriods ;) but ya i used to love going to the games but now that i dont have any money or a will to go its all in the past...i miss the good ole days

That's good to hear. Go cubs, but don't write off this year yet. We still got almost half the season. ;)

And Sharp-- I'm glad to hear you enjoy the game as much as I. Even if I'm not in the middle of the whole atmosphere of the game, Watching the game on T.V. there's still so much suspense about what will happen next. ( plus innings 4-7 are a good nap time :) )

By the way It's really hard to tell who really enjoys the game and who's just doing it cause it's a job (unless they say straight up) That's why I just sit back and enjoy, and don't dwell on all the negative junk. :)

Mr

Don't worry, I'm still a Giants fan through and through. :D I like nothing more than going to the new ball park in SF. As a matter of fact, my senior class took a trip on a fairly large boat out to McCovey Cove, which was sweet.

yeah my dad is the LT for the fireboat station in San Fran so he takes me on boat rides all over the bay. McCovey cove is always a spot to stop at.
