July 18, 200520 yr If you are still getting the "Client 57 Steam Kick Error", I may have found a solution. I need some of you to try this... before entering the game, open up your Windows IExplorer, and keep it open while you are paying the game. If this helps you, please post here
July 21, 200520 yr Well Gator I tried what you said but I just got a Client 57 error just a few mins ago 2:10am on the map durandal, I notice I only get the error on durandal maybe it should be taken out of the cycle to see if we still get the client 57 error.
July 21, 200520 yr it doesn't work for me either.sry gator i know how much you'd love to solve the client 57 error .heck i wish steam put half the effort you have into it. :peace: but i'll be your ginneypig anytime

I did not have iexplore up. didn't know she did. seems unrelated to iexplore then for us.
July 21, 200520 yr I got 57'd 4 times in a row on a map ( can't remember) and on Durandal with the rest of them with no IE on.
July 21, 200520 yr I've had IE windows opened many times when I was playing and I still got client 57s. Though this was around 2.9. I usually leave windows open when Im waiting for an update (like fileplanet, I HATE THEM SOO MUCH). Its still got to be something else. Possibly a port we all need to open that is defaultly closed?
July 21, 200520 yr ive never gotten kicked with IE open ever since you gave me this info! its pretty neat.
July 22, 200520 yr Strange? Never had this error? Egidio. If the game randomly crashes to the opening screen of FA, open your console. It will say something along the lines of "Client not present on channel 57."
