People swear and use racial slurs on TAC all of the time. Yet someone who plays fa as much as JJ on your server swears on one occasion and gets perma banned? I don't believe that to be fair. Players like JJ make the server fun and challenging to play on.

I agree with JonJon However, we need to draw the line somewhere right? I mean everyone knows the rules and they are on the MOTD every time a game starts, so.... isnt that a warning? I mean I may not even know what I am talking about but it sounds like a warning to me....

 

On the other I think you should start out with a one day ban and if the person hasnt learned by then that you will ban them regardless of who they are, and they come back and foul mouth then you perma ban... Just a suggestion.

What the ? I'm very cerious to why he got banned permantly for saying:

"yeah i just got kicked/banned because i called master "a ****ing moron" because he told me not to camp when we had 0 reins. i realize you guys don't like swearing and i apologize and i'll try show some restraint in the future." espically since he apogized for it. There has to be more then this then what is being said. I have dropped the N bomb before and got my lashes, and I wasn't banned but severly punished. He should be cut off the rope here TAC. Most of the S^D guys I know are friendly and they play well together..

my opinion (no poor jokes this time):

 

1. he cursed

 

2. dunno who was that 'master'. If he was Gator it wasn't smart to say that to one of the few persons who have full power and authority to do what they wish with the server.

 

3. JJ said that he would try to show some restraint. IMHO he should say he wouldn't curse ever again.

i've apparently been permabanned for one instance of swearing without a warning from the banning admin with no previous reasonable bans, the best i could ask for is an explanation

I really don't know why people choose that way. When I was kicked for 'cursing in Polish' without a warning I didn't storm the forums and start flame wars. I tried to 'restrain myself' and keep myself cool because I didn't want to be banned. I just asked 2 different admins in PM why I was kicked and explain what I said and what I could say. I politely asked them if they could post it on admin forums. I didn't have any issues later then.

 

Didn't you notice that every succeding reply (JJ's and- for example- mine for which I sincerely apologize) is heating up the atmosphere? Don't you think it's better to keep your issues with the admins as quiet as possible?

if i was only kicked for it, i wouldn't have brought it up anywhere or ever again, but since the thread went almost 3 days without a ban claim then i am informed that i'm permabanned w/o warning for 1 swearing offense while i see other people on the server constantly swear and bypass the usual filters while admins are present w/o repricussion then i feel i've been treated unfairly without basis.(holy run on) and i apologiize if the thread has developed a tense atmosphere and i would've gladly attempted to settle this in PM, but i didn't know that was a possibility being that this was my first ban that required actions other posts by me.

I will unban you this time, but please do not resort to name calling in the future. You violated 2 rules, foul language and disrespecting other players. We don't always have Admins on duty in the game, but we do watch the game remotely.

For Gods sake. I work in a Steel mill. I have heard far worse than you can imagine. Worked in conditions far worse than you can imagine. Been in situations you could never imagine.

 

The last thing I want to see when I come home from work is a known player or any player disrespecting our "Home" server. Especially when they know the rules.
