YOU MORON! use straw's. youll need something like WinAce to open the .rar file though. hope you enjoy them...if they werent the ones you used before. SteveO, be honest with me here. You're calling me a moron for using default crosshairs...between the two of us, who's better? So yeah, default works
August 31, 200520 yr Bounty I know how you feel. Almost everything I've done in FA as been because of myself. No one really gave me help untill maybe six months ago or so. I'm not saying I am the best or even close to it. I know I have earned my spot where ever that may be. I believe I am up on the list though. I may not know how to do half the stuff that some people do, but I can hold my ground when needed. I guess the only thing that really bugs me is why no body helps or helped. I shouldn't say no body because there are people that help. I am more the happy to help when I am asked for it. I don't know if my help would have helped, but I would have given him suggestions. I remember when I first started playing any kind of FPS on computer. FA was the first multiplayer FPS i've played. I was a "****" back then and I had no idea what scripts were. I thought they could make you better by the way every one talked about them. SM was saying that he was a master scripter, and so I asked him for one because he was giving them to a couple of people on the server at that time. I don't know if it was the armory server or the 24/7 durandel server (if you remember that server). He just said "Shut-up Phrogg. No body knows you." That was the end of that. He may not remember that, but I do for some odd reason. The "leet" people of FA I don't understand at all. As soon as you thought you were leet it was like a rule that you had to be a **** or something on a server. Minus a few exceptions though. I would rarely see them give any kind of advice or help to anyone that would ask. As if it was like some big secret or something. I know alot of the time they get accused of hacking, but I just figured instead of starting an argument of how you do/don't hack. Why not just give them advice on how they are doing it and so forth. I could go on and on about this, but I won't. I will say for me though I never hacked in FA. I did change my rates and xhairs/sounds though. I wouldn't have minded trying a speed hack though. Just to see what it would be like to go really really fast! I think it would be a pain to aim though moving that fast, but it would be cool to jump of cliffs or the tower in bocage!
September 6, 200520 yr Always played FA with the default config.... Used nothing but the Sterling and Saiga 12k.... Always managed to keep a positive kill to death ratio in my last days of playing... How did I do it? Practice, Practice, Practice, and Practice some more. Rates and other tweaks can help your performance. But handicapped or not, playing over and over again with whatever settings you play on is what improves your performance the most. Pity those who download their skillz are too lazy to do that. As for FA... even when I was having a bad day, I did like the game. It was the jerk off's who had no respect for their fellow gamer that drove me away in the end.
September 6, 200520 yr I still love getting called a hacker, makes me smile and keep playing I do believe that having a decent config of the right rate settings can give a definate edge regardless of the player. The right combination of netcode settings matched with a decent connection is the difference between you hitting air and landing shots about 80% of the time, the other 20% is what you people refer to as "skill" by putting ur crosshair over a target and clicking ur mouse at it ^^. Crosshairs don't make much difference as long as they mark the center point or you know them well enough to trust where the bullets would go. Crosshairs are more of a personal thing for each player, you find a set that works for you and you either stick with them, or keep looking till you find a set that does.

JJ, Punisher and Delta have given me advice here and there. Pun gave me some good crosshairs and all of a sudden I could snipe handgun across the map. JJ and Delta said some things in game and i picked up on that and of course these things helped. Delta told me to get on MSN and he would show me some things. I never did because FA is dead now and I don't really need to get any better. Hell, even Atma was telling us some things on Vent one night then he got cut off just about when he was going to tell us the secret of the universe. Oddly enough they were things that I knew I was doing wrong but just didn't correct on my own and practice doing properly. The FORCE is within you and you must bring it out. LOL. Maybe these guys don't want everybody hounding them for their tactics and configs or whatever because it could become bothersome.
