After playing for a while now I see BFII has all the same annoying little problems that FA has. The only thing with BFII is you don't know everyone so well so you don't dislike them as much for their tactics and mostly playing with <TAC> guys you don't dislike any of them LOL. THe bunnyhopping and insta proning are terrible. I know you try to avoid being shot but these guys are proning up and down so fast it looks like they are doing the "worm dance". ANNOYING. At least they can't jump 20 feet in the air like in FA and have perfect aim as they fly around you and kill you.

I changed my name because the first name didn't have the <TAC> tags on it and now I am having a hard time getting points back up to Lance Corporal. I like being lone wolf when I play and not in squads. Too much pressure to do everything right and think too much. I like to just run around and kill people or use a tank. If I die it's my problem and don't let everyone down. Oh well, I will keep at it until I get better like the rest of you guys. SO when I reach Lance Corproal again I won't know which weapon to get because I took G36 last time and I liked the origianl spec ops weapon better. Now, I am trying sniping but I don't get many points sniping so I abandon it quickly for something else. Support seems ok with that big MG. Easy to kill with that but for me hard to get to a spot where there are people to kill.

Yeah, I hate the instant proning, it's so anoying because it makes the support class so damn powerful, they just instant prone and waste you...

klink if u want fast points be commander and just keep droping arty.

the only way they can really fix the prone is to make a delay of a second or so. you should be able to prone in the air but not unprone.

Klink, support is only good in squads when lonewolfin it isn't much of a help cuz you need the squad members to distract the oppent and you tagging him

im even worse, not only do i die, i take the gun in the blackhawk and then watch tv. Only to find out that i missed a bunch of enemies

I must admit that I insta prone sometimes. For whatever reason it's a lot easier for me to hit my 'Z' key rather than my 'Ctrl' key (Z being my prone). Perhaps I should move crouch to my 'Shift' key. Maybe that would help make me less "annoying."

What really bothers me is the gun mounted nade launchers. They need to be fixed immediately.

I dont instaprone till its required. When someone thinks its cool to try killing the guy fixing some artillery, then its ON.

...but you know what actually bugs me even more? The fact that you can unload into ppl with a AH-17 (the attack chopper) machine gun and not kill them.

 

Or how about the AA tank? useless ! Most of the time I have the sams make sharp turns to go hit team vehicles instead of the target I have the lockon?!?!? (same goes for the ground Sams) Oh and then the guns on that AA tank worthless unless you attack infantry

How long does it take to go prone in real life? I see no problem with it and feel it is part of the game. If you thnk I am going to stand up and let you shoot me so you feel good inside, don't plan on it. I will hit the dirt as soon as I hear someone shooting at me. It's common sense...

how do you prone other than 'insta proning'? you hit the button, and it does its thing you cant control the speed. mid air un proning is the only problem, them being able to pop right back up when you hit the ground

I think the instant proneing issue is for one you can still shoot while doing this and don't even loose any accuracy (as far as I can tell) 2nd there is people who just prone jump prone jump all the time and still manage to shoot you while doing so and that's I think where the biggest flaw in it lies.

In real life there aren't that many Michael Jacksons that can do those moves on the battlefield.

an easy fix is to make jumping and or proning take up a lot of your stamina, like DOD, they have a good system

I can picture this in my mind's eye:US soldier is bunny-hopping and instant-proning runninground and spraying on heavily defended terrorist training camp. The terrorists would sooner die of laughter than of bullets. This feature should be incorporated into BF2 - death of hysteric laughter granting the 'clown' two additional kill points.
