September 22, 200520 yr Ok I don't know if the rest of you have this problem while playing BF2, but it is really starting to annoy me. When I scoped with any weapon and trying to have precise aiming. I can't!!! I have no idea why either. Lets say I have the m4. The nice little red dot. When I am scoped with it, I have a hard time getting the dot where I want it. I don't know how to really explain this but here is what happens. Instead of moving smoothing across the screen. Its like it goes from pixil to pixil or something. Kind of choppey. Is there anyone else that has this problem? Any suggestion perhaps that could fix it.
September 23, 200520 yr i thought you meant something else :/. i have the problem where your scope randomly unscopes, even if you havent shot.. :/
September 23, 200520 yr Author Ya. Mine does that do at times. Another thing that bugs me. I'm just wondering if anyone else has the problem that I described above.
September 23, 200520 yr Yeah, I know exactly what you mean Phrogg. It's so hard to aim the crosshair, you end up having to move left/right up/down with your person to compensate. It sucks, that's why I rarely snipe.
September 23, 200520 yr Author What kind of monitor do you have Sam Gen. LCD or CRT? I don't know if it would be the montior or not. The only reason i ask is because my 2 friends have LCD and I have a CRT. They both say they don't have this problem. I know its not the mouse because I just got the logitech mx518 and the problem still persist. So I am just curious as to what causes the problem.
September 23, 200520 yr I have it too, besides you can't be very precise with that stupid red laaaaaazer dot in the first place.
September 23, 200520 yr This one is easy ... reduce the sensitivity on your mouse, and experiment a bit with the settings. There are two other settings next to the sensitivity as well ...adjust them accordingly. My aim is smooth and precise now. Let me know how it helps you...
September 23, 200520 yr I found one of my troubles was video settings. I turned off dynamic light and shadow and seen a good improvement of performance and it stopped stuttering when i brought up iron sights. One bug i've seen is when i try to switch between C4 and detonator it shows a switch then goes right back to C4 again. Then i usually end up blowing myself up after not noticing the C4 lying at my feet
September 23, 200520 yr Author QUOTE=Bones] One bug i've seen is when i try to switch between C4 and detonator it shows a switch then goes right back to C4 again. Then i usually end up blowing myself up after not noticing the C4 lying at my feet :o
September 23, 200520 yr Author Nope didn't work. :o Would it be because I am using a crt perhaps. I wouldn't think so because I didn't have this problem in FA at all or in any other FPS i've played. Just an idea though. I am running out of ideas, so I will take all the help I can get.
September 23, 200520 yr Author Ok. I lowered the sensitivity from 3.2ish to 1.5. There is still a little stutter but not nearly as much as there was. Still not not as smooth as it is on other fps I play.
September 24, 200520 yr Get a better mouse. More resolution here help a lot. I use a MX310 b/c I found it better than the MX510 imho. Go figure. Radioactive has a 510 now. Lucky kid I guess.
September 24, 200520 yr Author I have the mx518. My rez is at 1048x760 or something. Now deli and jack don't have this problem. I have played on jacks computer, and its smooth on his. Deli's from what i've seen is pretty much the same and he plays at 800x600 i believe. So this just makes me lost. :o
September 24, 200520 yr i have the same mouse phrogg and with the mouse they gave me software where i can lower and increase your sensitivity in game. i found that when i have a regular weapon ill use a higher sensitity and when i use a sniper rifle i lower it. mabye u can try that
September 24, 200520 yr lower demands on system by reducing mouse sensitivity, lower video details to minimum or off, sound minimum, etc. try 800 res.
September 24, 200520 yr lowering your mouse sensitivity will fix the problem. It might be a good idea to set your mouse to a low sensitivty if you are a sniper. but if you are gonna be doing to close up fighting then higher sensitivity is good for reaction times. if you are gonna be using a sight and close up, find a happy medium
September 24, 200520 yr I dunno about mouse sensitivity but I got 1.00 (which is AFAIR default one) and still can't hit... On some occasions, I could have tons of time to aim- I did even see a name of the enemy I was shooting at but still no kill... I used m24. I got pathetic mouse though and maybe the enemy was too far for my golden bullet to hit a target...
September 24, 200520 yr Crank up your windows sensitivity. Lower your ingame sensitivity also. At the same time.
