The time has come soldiers. The 1.03 Update for Battlefield 2 is now available for download here.

 

Alongside the fixes noted in last Friday's Community Update, you can find out all of the fixes and tweaks included in this update in the changelog found here.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is a known issue with mod autoactivation in 1.03 dealing with Passworded servers. If you are attempting to join a passworded server of any kind, be sure to manually activate the Mod in question before trying to join (this also applies to connecting to passworded retail BF2 servers if you currently have a different Mod activated).

 

Now get out there and fight, soldiers!

Due to the way the download server and it's mirrors work it will take some time to propagate through to every server, so if you get a "file not found" error initially it is because the first server is at capacity. More servers will handle the queue over time, so please persevere if you have difficulty initially

I just find it weird I can't find it anywhere else but there.

I would guess they don't want to make a big deal about it untill all their ftp servers have mirrored the file that way they can have some bandwidth to send it to their servers instead of every BF2 player sucking the life out of their master server..

Woo the patcher takes its sweet time.. anyway as of right now there aren't many servers so don't worry about the patch takeing a while to download.. i should have a mirror up in about 40 minutes give or take as long as theres no complications.

i don't notice that much of an increased effect with AA.. seems the same to me..

it does however, take forever for one engy to repair in a blackhawk heh

Whoa, I was getting 12k/sec from EA, but I am getting 620k/sec from The Armory. This rocks! :cool:

i cant find the link to the patch. right now im dling off of ea but its way to slow

dammit. i tried playing with the patch and it wont let me add <> to my prefix >:[

anyone seen anything to do with ranking? apparently a lot of people are ranking up upon first stats refresh. and bf2tracker now says im 100% towards next rank. apparently i should rank up 3 times now??? weird

 

let me know if anyone sees the same.

alright, now im royally PISSED. it says the server has slot reservations but im not selected for one(thats NOT what im mad about), yet, when i had tried to get in before it let me in. and there were MORE people in then! WTH. this patch is worse than the second...also, does anyone know what folder your screenshots are in for BF2? also, i tried to get into the server on that time where i actually got to the loading screen, and as soon as it got done... BF2 crash to desktop. WTH.
