October 16, 200520 yr TAC snipers and all, What is the secret to the M95, I can not kill a darn thing with it. Give me the M24 and its one or two shots, but with the M95, its atleast a clip. I have tried aiming high and low with no luck. Im not a beginer, have over 2400 kills as a sniper, and it was the first unlock out of the six unlocks that I currently have, so I know what I am doing. I am not talking long shots either, within 150 meters. I can start a map with the M95 and not get many kills, then switch to the M24 and rack them up. Pls enlighten me to the secret. Foes
October 16, 200520 yr no, it's not The m95's handling isn't much different than the m24 neither of you really stated the problem. You can't kill anything, that can be due to a number of things 1)Trying to compensate for wind, etc. when there really is none 2)shoot at guys that are running side ways (or sprinting) 3)Not using the (let them come to you) 4)not crouching or prone 5)being a great distance away Basically, set up somewhere with the m95, prone, and find a target. Ignore vehicles (besides heli, try to shoot the pilot or gunners/back passengers) and ignore guys that are running parallel to your position, especially if they're sprinting. Prone guys are your free kills. Aim for the head... now, here's the trick. If you hit them, and you don't kill them (the x flashes, but no kill) then immediatly wipe out your pistol, iron-sight it, and spray that guy/area with a clip. Works everytime. One good technique is to place your crosshair a bit ahead of a person, and wait for them to hit the center, then you click. I've gotten loads of body kills and headshots this way. Also, there is some strange 'general knowledge' that you have to compensate for distance, wind, etc. The only time you have to compensate for distance is when the person is so far off they're almost faded (with 100% draw distance on). Then you move up by a pixel or two. Wind doesn't exist. The fact is, you have to get used to shooting at the one specific part of the body that gets them all the time, the head. You got to learn where the head is from all directions when they're standing, crouching, or prone. there really is nothing to it. It is a better rifle than the m24, and I (before I switched to support) was getting really good with it. just stick with it
October 16, 200520 yr ive discovered something with the m95. you know the 4 lines that are on the scope? well, the top 2 are the ones you should be concerned with. here's what you do. you take the space inbetween the two, and then, under the topmost one(the one that goes all the way across)... just about a pixel or so, line it up with their head, and then fire. i find this to be effective for me. hope this helps.
October 16, 200520 yr As far as I'm concerned the only tip i can give you is well, I can't i too struggle with the M95, I also can hit anything i shoot at. In my experience with it, It goes just like this one round I'm Liquid Death with it, other rounds It has the accuracy of a dizzy, blindfolded, blind man bungee-jumping.... It's very quirky.
October 16, 200520 yr aim for the head. pretty much at any distance aim for the head. also go to prone cuz its pretty much useless while standing.
October 16, 200520 yr i've unlocked it to, some days i can hit with hit and others i just cant. Most of the time i find myself using the m24 because its very accurate and great for getting headshots.
October 16, 200520 yr There is also the time issue. It does take time for the "bullet" to get there. Shoot and see how long the bullet takes to get there. There are not many one shot kills. Even the M95 takes two in most cases. It is only as accurate as the M24 even in prone so the random accuracy generator will not let you hit the same spot twice if you have it on the same pixel. It has greater armor (body and vehicle) penetration than the M24 too.
October 17, 200520 yr Hehe, well a lot of people seem to have issues with it (me too) there is times where each shot is a kill and others you can empty a clip and the guy dosen't die This seems something that happens with all guns just seems really obvious with sniper rifles. And I think is most often related to ping differences between you and your target, but I'm not sure on that idea Non the less there are a few points I wanna get back to... * From what I've read the stance makes no influence when using sniperrifles http://ubar.bf2s.com/kits.php#m95 unless I understand these values wrong, it will only help you being seen / hit due the smaller profile * I've heard (not confirmed) that there is something of a bullet drop. Which means at long distance the bullet will hit lower than you're aiming point. To simulate real world etc... :o [DIAL]Doc
October 17, 200520 yr i find that you hit them more than you think- or is indicated. i get a lot of kill damage assists with the m95, but when im shooting at guys i dont get the hit indicator
October 17, 200520 yr Deli was prone, I walked up to him, scoped the M95 from 3 feet away and missed apparently because he got up and shot me with his pistol and killed me. Not to good.
October 17, 200520 yr i find that you hit them more than you think- or is indicated. i get a lot of kill damage assists with the m95, but when im shooting at guys i dont get the hit indicator agreed. i never see the hit indicator, but i will get kills assists with it later.
October 21, 200520 yr I tried it when our Disposible Hero was killed, I got his M95 and it's a good sniper gun, got 2 time after was killed and very occurate when you are proned for to fire with it... Egidio.
October 21, 200520 yr scratch my old method, looks like i found a new one. (wow, what a surprise, as soon as i got it to work, it fails again) you aim for them and you hold down your fire button. seems to work now, BUT WHO KNOWS WHEN IT WILL FAIL TOO!?!? taking all bets.... XD
