Holy cow man!

Was the 1.3 patch the same download, or have you downloaded a fresh copy? The reason I ask is because maybe the 1.3 patch is corrupt? I had problems the first time I loaded the patch, and all I did was reload the patch and all was ok.

also maybe try to install patch 1.02 then 1.03.

I feel your pain, I know how frustrating a computer can be, I sure hope this helps and you get your game working. Before you smash it with a hammer. :)

I have downloaded the patch from different locations and tried to install it. It doesnt worked.

I will try to install first the patch 1.02 and then the patch 1.03.

Perhaps i should get the hammer first.. :)

On my new pc, when I installed the bf2, I installed each patch: 1.01, 1.02 & 1.03 and all run good + few days ago, the update files for punkbuster...

For what a hammer? For to include a bit "1" between zeros? It's your "logical" Arnie? :peace:

Egidio.

I'm concerned that if you had it working well until the full 1.03 patch, that whether that patch file was no good or or just failed to setup properly, no further patch attempts will help unless bf2 fully uninstalled, rebooted, remaining folders of it deleted, registry cleaner used, reboot, defrag, reinstall bf2, reboot, try patch from different site, reboot, setup options and see.

Install, reinstall, reboot, repatch, install, reinstall, repatch

God, i love EA and DICE so much.. I have better things to do in life as that..

Thx Guys for the help again

Thx especially to Cleatus and Gator, who tried to solve the problems with me two days ago on ventrillo.. I appreciate that very much..

It was my Pleasure, I am sorry we did not get it working for you. Do you have the latest driver for your Video Card, this may be worth trying. Another thing, I had to install patch 1.03 twice before it worked, I did not uninstall, I got an error and just kept installing it untill it took it.

Also did you try following the instructions in the link Gator gave you that suggested you install the files manually, because the installer doesn't always work?

You could always pack up your tower and your Battlefield 2 DVD and ship it to me. I will get it to work, or die trying. I promise I won't use my hammer! :peace:

I feel for you. I know. Things should be easier than they are sometimes.

Since you have the game. As a last chance effort. Register the game and E-mail your favorite company (EA/DICE) with a support question. They should be able to pinpoint the cause exactly.

FINALLY IT RUNS AGAIN.

I have found the solution for the problem on a german forum site. Still i couldnt install the patch the normal way. After i have installed the patch manually, i have had the CD Key Error. But the solution i found out, last night was the following:

Execute the file "Battlefield 2_code.exe" in the BF2 Support folder.

Put in the new CD Code.

ok, so far i have tried that many times, but it hasnt worked. Now i have done that:

Start the the file "BF2CDKeyCheck.exe" in the main BF2 folder.

AND FINALLY IT WORKS !!!

At least for now. By the end of this month, i have some time left, to buy a new system with the latest and best high end gaming hardware, thats available (at the moment i have only a ati 9800xt). And i hope i can install the game and the patch the normal way.

For now, all i need is TIME to play that game, but there is not much time left at the moment. I would love to kill the strange people with the ( =A= ) before their names.. :D

HOO RAAAAAAA>

Well done Arnie.

Did they say WHY it was happening. It is cool you found the fix but Why was it happening over and over to you?
