well here we go, no more arguing. I hope to god that the iraqi troops surrender otherwise here comes a bloodbath. On a lighter side, can't wait to see the new CNN footage of tanks rolling down bagdad in a few days.

several iraqi troops already surrendered a couple of days ago. the brits were doing firing runs and apparently the iraqis thought the war had started, they crawled across the border and surrendered to the brits. they were told to go back because the war hadnt started yet heh.i think the majority of iraq's forces will give up at the first chance, however sadams (i can never spell his name right) personal guards will probly fight

They cannot fight what they cannot see. A guided bomb or an M! abrahams etc etc. They are out classed on every aspect of military equipment.

I give the war about three weeks until US troops make it to Baghdad. There, I think what will happen is either:A- Immediate surrender by the Republican Guard.orB- Assassination or murder of Saddam by the Republican Guard or the people.orC- A protracted battle through the streets of Baghdad with moderate US/coalition casualties, ultimately ending in the surrender or death of Saddam.Here's to hoping it's option A or B.And kudos to the soldiers. They have some kinda huge juevos to be out there right now.

Also....I heard a gov't dude say there appeared to be lines in the broadcast of the "live" Saddam speach, indicating it may have been a tape.Anyone else notice that Saddam's voice was not at all in sync with his lips. At one point the voice was going and his lips weren't. :shock:

No, they have been firing SCUDs for awhile now.And yes US and I think Brits Spec. Ops. are in Bagdhad now.and the US lost a chopper but no casultilies, though they had to destory the chopper.

They havn't been launching SCUDs...I've been listening all day...they FIRST THOUGHT they were SCUDs but they turned out to be Surface to Surface missilesThe US lost a helicopter...but that was before the war...Iraq did not shoot it down...it went all screwy and crashed in Kawat

Here's everything I knowThese Should Mounted SAMs (pretty much the American version of RPGS)...can fire missiles that are able to lock onto a certain position...America supplyed Iraq to fight Iran a lil while ago...thus Iraq also has these SAMs. SO...when these missiles went high into the air, they were probaly suppose to explode in the american and british lines. Everyone who saw these missiles go into the air got really...really jumping and immediatly presumed that these were Scuds...it is true a patriot missile defense wepaon destroy one...but the others landed safely away from the lines...About actual Scuds...explosions have gone off far off near the heart of Baghdad and American surviallence confirms that these were Scuds...BUT...they were not carrying any high explosives or chemicals in them...so they're harmlessThis isn't frikken Somalia...Iraq has helicopters too...but they were destroyed in the very first stages of bombing...trust me...they arn't THAT primativeU.S f-16s bombed small...very small...airfields within and just outside Baghdad since these airfields contained HIND helicopters...which could easily rip away at Black Hawks...I have also been mislead by news...but listen to the news carefully...and after words don't fit in words...I heard three black hawk helicopters were shot down in baghdad...and American troops had to preform a rescue operationThis is fakeand I know it cause I watch the news on TV and I listen...This should be the final word on thisThank-You

Oh yes of course they have their own helicopters and such, but still, it's best for the U.S. to destroy the stuff so they can not get ahold of it.
