Shoulder mounted SAMs can not get that high in the air they just have the power and Iraqs SAMs are RPG (Rokect Propeled Grenades) America does not use those.

Shoulder mounted SAMs can not get that high in the air they just have the power and Iraqs SAMs are RPG (Rokect Propeled Grenades) America does not use those.And no the US would not destroy the stuff unless it: A) has chrased behind enemy lines or :D It was the enemys.
Iraq has SAMs...listen...this isn't like in the movies where the conscripts run around in angry mobs...these guys are like the smaller versions of China...America in 1991 (or around there) suppyled Iraq some of their weapons so Iraq could attack Iran (they then went off and also supplyed Iran)Some of those weapons are still being used today in this conflict...they do use RPGs...but not as much as the Shoulder Mounted SAMsand they couldn't have destroyed the helo since soldiers havn't even begun going into Iraq yet.and SAMs can go up to about 6,000 feet..that's pretty high...
