use any characters for prefix, including <>

Featured Replies

I've tried this and it works, to insert any symbol into your prefix

To insert special characters or delete your prefix entirely,

Go into your BF2 folder in my documents.

My Documents -> Battlefield 2 -> Profiles -> Right click on "Global.con," and open it with Notepad.

Edit the characters (you can include any 6 characters, including ones that the login screen won't allow) in between the quotes in the following line:

GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix ""

  • Author
HOLY ZOMBIE.... :D . good find, maybe we can keep the <TAC> :) .

Yeah, I agree. I've already changed everything to (=A=) (that I can), lets keep it :D .

You wouldn't put a prefix if you already have <TAC> in your name. :D

Can you remove the <TAC> though? Wouldl that be possible?

No Gator, it will only give you access to your prefix, and your default player.

I tried:(

there used to be some lines that would delete the next few charachters, or make your name colored such as C| or |D or something like that, but i think they fixed it
