I was playing in your server like 5 minutes ago, and as I was standing next to the heli pad some guy comes up tks me by blasting me in the face. Totally unprovoked, guy was just being a total jerk. So my reaction has always been the same on any game ever, I respawn and blew up the guy and his ill gotten helicopter. then when he respawned I killed him again...I dont put up with Nancy crap like that, he wants to try and ruin my game and ill sure as heck ruin his. then the "admin" that was appharently paying no attention to the proceedings whatsoever decides that I am the one that deserves the ban. No "hey whats going on here?" no "Why are u tking?", not even a warning. I am sure you can see where i am going with this...i am just dissapointed with the lack of concern by the admin. With the way BF2 scores, a -10 score doesnt mean team griefer.

You were tk'ing though. The proper thing to do is report him to an admin and he will get banned very fast.

oh, btw: the server is running some sort of software that kicks you off when there's 5-7 tk's (combined). regardless of what you stated above it could be autoban like that (it always says that admin kicked you). but with your attitude as above I wouldn't be surprised if it was admin decision...

 

i think it was an auto-kick that got ya. but if that ever happens to u on our server just bring it to the attention of one of our member and they will then give the info to an admin. its kinda hard to know wut really happens when all u see is [teamkills] at the top of the screen.

I thought I would give you the benifit of a second chance, but I dont waste my time playing on servers that dont take time getting things right and dont allow people to stand up for themselves. Take it from me in the real military if we see some guy blow away a comrade then we are free to deal with him then and there.

i dont think you were banned by an admin, you were probably auto banned by tking. if someone punished you enough it will ban you for 1 round. tking him probably wasn't the correct thing to do...

I am the server administator, and I can tell you that the server auto-banned you. We are working on ways to increase the numbers so TKs will not be so easily punnished.

 

If you have problems with TKer's, please contact an Admin and they will be delt with appropriately.

No admin banned you. You teamkilled, and were punished. If you are punished enough for tks, you will be automatically kicked/banned for 1 round. Unfortunately, most people playing BF2 aren't smart enough to realize this it the DEFAULT SETTING FOR BF2 SERVERS. Deal with it. If you don't want the server to ban you (Yes, the message says "admin" but it's really the server itself) then don't tk. Don't respond to "Nancy crap" with your own "Nancy crap"

 

I am getting really disappointed with the lack of attention/comprehension of how this game works, and people blaming admins for automatic system responses.

although if an admin saw you killing the guy he would have kicked you.

When I wrote this post I wasnt saying that you cant ban me for tking in responce to a tk. If that is your policy then thats fine. I was upset at the admin not taking the time to ask any questions whatsoever before banning me. If this was a auto ban then it isnt really his fault. (And yes laughing fat man I realize that the server can be set this way) however on the clan servers i frequent this is always removed as it is prone to unfair bans. For example the age old guy gets you to kill him one of a thousand ways (standing in front of your tank) and punishes you endlessly. I guess I must have written in the heat of the moment as I am genuinely shocked at the level of unbridled aggression this clan has shown to a new poster. I am neither young, nor inexperienced at BF2, and anyone who knows me knows that

 

1. I play for fun, not to grief.

I dont agree with the admin taking care of everything, when you dont know the admin. just my personal feelings. I really have nothing more to say on the subject. I know that I'm a little late coming in on this thread, but I've got to make a couple of points here.

 

First, and simply, two wrongs don't make a right. It's a good rule to live by in life and it's a required rule on our servers.

 

Secondly, if you were auto-kicked for teamkilling it was likely only for one round or for a small amount of some preset time limit. We generally do not perma-ban users for teamkilling. Only in severe circumstances --- i.e. every time they come to the server they just TK until they get kicked. This will result in a perma-ban.

 

Lastly, I don't think that anyone has shown you any "unbridled agression" here. We are simply stating the rules and guidelines for our servers and attempting to right your particular situation. Some other clans may have responded with a "you were teamkilling to EXPLITIVE. shut up and deal with it." But TAC is not that way. Instead you received multiple posts trying to explain what happened and why.

 

It is also very difficult for us to welcome a new poster with open arms and a big smile who comes into our forums calling our admins unobservant and incompetent. At TAC we always have multiple admins on duty for a reason - to help all the players on our servers. We're here to play the game and have fun and we want everyone else to have fun as well.

 

I do hope that you will rejoin us on the TAC BF2 server soon now that you are more informed about our guidelines for gameplay. If you do have a similar situation occur again, please contact any player with a (=A=) tag and notify them of your problem. If they are not an admin, then they can easily get in touch with one. the admins are pretty responsive here, when I tell them such and such TKed me for a helo, they take care of it, the only time I have ever needed to take matters into my own hands was when some asshat placed C4 on the vehicles on the carrier on wake island, it was either I kill him or he kills my team. He was banned about a minute later but it would have come too late if I had not acted. Bottom line, TK as a last resort, its better to just be killed and have the admins deal with the problem, when I admined a BF2 server, I never really had time to ask questions, if I saw some one blatantly kill some one, especially for a vehicle, they were gone, no questions asked.

Sorry to hear that. I think auto kick for tk's requires 2 or 3 tk's. Next time maybe turn the other cheek and let him do it again. You should get option popup to punish him and bam he's out.
