Well, went to the hospital friday, while i was working. I was driving into the station, when my left arm went numb, and i felt sick to my stomach. One of the guys took me up to the hospital in the squad car. I ended up staying the night, cuz they wanted to make sure i didn't have a stroke or heart attack. Turns out that its a pinched nerve in my neck. I have to go to the doctors on Wed. Soooo, i'm back to kick some butt. I know , i know you are all scared right. lol :peace:

Thanks guys. I appreciate all the support. I'm just kicking back and relaxing. I'm going back to work Wed. no matter what though. I just can't stay home, it's more stressful than work. lol I work for a town called Auburn NY. The food was horrible, and i only ate breakfast and lunch there. Yuck! Don't worry Flipster , you can always stab me in the back. :peace:

When you have to wear that vest and belt every day it plays hell on the back and neck. I miss patrol sometime but then I stop and think about that crap. I used to have a lot of back problems around my upper back/lower neck. They said it was from the vest and belt. Mine never went totally numb but I would get ice cold chills down my arm. Sound a lot a like...did they say what caused yours?

No, they haven't done any tests yet on my neck. I do have back problems though. I have herniated and disintegrating disks in my back. I'm sure i've got some in my neck now also. :peace: I'm just trying to get to my 20 years, and then i'll definitely have to leave the force. I have 5yrs and 5mos to go. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The belt really doesn't help my back at all. Maybe i should try for a Detective job. lol Nope, i can't stand being inside. Yuck! I'm going to the doctors on Wed. and then having an MRI done when they schedule me. The hand seems to be doing okay now though. I think i kind of panicked cuz, the arm went numb though.

Sorry to hear about your problem Wolfey but thank goodness you're okay :peace: ! Since you're kicked out of the hospital now, make sure you monitor it regularly on a daily basis just in case if the healing process fails. Also, with the back and arm pains, ask your family physician about considering a back and wrist brace. They're not costly at all and they definately work. Goodluck on your results from the docs!
