Man, about 6 years ago I got hit in my Mustang by a girl that was driving for the first day alone with her licence. Not much damage so i just said forget about it don't worry. She was so worried. She was a manager at McDonalds and after that I got free food for about 3 years every time she was working. LOL.

well they came out last week and did an estimate on it. The body shop said around $2200 for all the parts and paint. The insurance adjuster said it was $3189 minus the $500 deductible, so I got a check for $2689. It was $100 short of totalling the car.

So, I'm going to order a new bumper cover, $200. A carbon fiber trunk lid $700, and call it good....I've got taillights already, and the seat is an easy fix, oh and a new steering wheel. Other than that, I'm also getting 2GB of ram for the new computer so I can get into BF2 before 1/2 the map is over.

On a positive note, you gotta love it when you shop around for highest estimate you can get, then present that to ins com for bigger cheque then one needs.

Long time ago i got rear ended. the flexible Cougar bumper had few inches of plastic striping broke off with scrape discolorations and very slight wrinkle in hard rubber. Estimate place said can't fix, have to replace whole thing. I got big ins chq and didn't bother with the bumper as after time wrinkle dissappeared and i had better uses for that $1000. ;-)
