I actually did pay the extra 30 bucks for it. The other sites I found it on didn't ship to Canada, or they just sucked.

Anyhoo, even though my mp3 player is black, I had to get it in white, it's all they had.

So, at first, I was like "wth they don't even fit into my ears".. Then I changed the bud to the small ones and I shoved them as far into my ears as I could.

The sound of it? It's actually very good. Probably better than my other $80 Sony full and huge headphones for the computer. Once you get the buds right into your ears, then you just get a great sound.

Now to what I disliked. THE CORD ZOMG! It's so damn short, it only reached down to my gut. There was no way it could go into my pockets on my pants.

And then they give you this massive extension cord. I had to roll it up and put that band over it. But I can live with that.

I also hear this slight *fizz* in the sound, only when I have my Mp3 player EQ setting on XBass. But that's okay, because the bass sounds great on the Rock EQ, or even on Normal.

I give it a 4 out of 5. The sound rules. The cord sucks. I would have bought it for $60, not $80. I'm keepin it.

and since they jam into your brain so much, they'll most likely destroy your eardrums after a year of use!

good luck with that

especially with these kinds of headphones, I would definatly recommand to you to NOT turn up the volume. Keep it at a reasonable level, and don't turn it up so much so you can hear the music over other loud noises.

oops.
The bass is good b/c it seals off your earcanal and therefore there are no leaks and you get 100% sound. It is no worse than any sound for your ear. Just do not listen too loud.

i recently purchased these bose triport headphones, and i was extremly pleased with them. they are not earbuds, but the are extremly light and sturdy. they are also not as bulky as any other brand in that range. you shouldnt turn on any optional base options on what you plug it into unless you want to never hear anything again :D the bass is great on these. if you dont mind carrying something around a little bigger, these are great for on the go.

I recently just purchased a set of new headphones to replace my old ones. I go through a set every 3 or 6 months because I admit I have a tendency to fling hardware around without regard for property damage or loss of life (hah!).

The ones I just purchased came from newegg.com for $41. They are large, with the big pads, but one thing I do like about them is that they sound AWESOME. The vibration effect in games and while listening to music really adds an extra-sensory feel that cannot be replicated with little "behind the head" style headphones.

The pad around the ears also prevents annoying things like women and children from interfereing with your game and gives you a great excuse not to do things because you can always say "sorry, I didn't hear you" (hah!). It really does block out all other sound coming from in the room so that's a nice feature to me atleast.

The in-line volume control is made for "big people hands" (read adult), so you can quickly find the volume up / down and vibration control features with ease if you actually have to listen to what other people are saying in the room.

Other than that, they are just some good 10.0 rated headphones. And for about 40 bucks you can't beat them short of purchasing some 200 dollar DJ monitoring phones. I've heard they run out of these a lot @ newegg.com and it's the only place that I know of where you can buy them. Here is the link:

190.00 bucks? I bought a decent pair from futureshop for around 40 dollars and they're good.

Yeah, the only time I might turn them up is on the bus to school, but maybe not.. because it could cancel the noise. Not sure, I'll have to try that out on Monday..

Also, I didn't get the big full headphones because I want something that I can carry around in my pocket in school, and this is a perfect size.
