lol I still have to wait a few hours for my mother to get back to start opening presents and all.

Kids make Christmas that's all I can say so it was outstanding.

TFD, next year will be better I promise you.

I had a GREAT Christmas. I had family over and we had a great time. My son was with us instead of being in the AOR (Area of Operation). I am greatful that he was with us and I pray for every Airman, Soldier and Marine in harms way and away from their family this time of year.
Mine has been pretty good. My sister was home so I was glad to see her and I got the monitor that I wanted :D

lmao. It's ok k_town, i'll be sure to get you a lot of baby toys next year :D .

My christmas was great. Got the Camera I wanted, and just got to have a nice quiet day.

about "tree fitty" in cash or $350 cash. Several gift cards to eating places...like I need that...lol. Some clothes ect ect ect........

My wife and I didnt exchange gifts. We used the money to adopt two little old people at the retirement home without family. We try to do this every year now rather than spend money for each other when both have way to much anyway.

I have found as I get older I enjoy it better the more I can do for others and spending time with my family. If you would have ask me that a few years ago I would have laughed at the very thought.

Having to buy presents sucks, I hate malls. Next year I am buying everything online.

Not getting anything you asked for (Especially when the only thing you asked for costs less than $100) sucks too. But eh, thats how life goes =D. Christmas is about giving, not trading. We all have to remember that. So even though you spent $1000 on xmas presents, don't expect $1000 worth back.

*EDIT* Someone should buy me some grammar lessons :D *EDIT*

Christmas was pretty good. I was with both my kids and my wife and we are all healthy. That is a pretty good gift from the big guy.

I was able to upgrade my system to an Athlon64 +4000 with 2gigs of ram, new mother board and 2 7800gt at 470 mghz. Oh almost forgot the Turtle Beach surround sound Headset.

Wheat Bun got my 6800 gt and gig of ram.

I will swap out the mother board and processor on an old AMD 750 and give Poptart my old board and xp 2600 and Wheaties 5700ultra card. This way all 3of us can play at the same time.

Thanks Gator for a great place to play and hang out.

Nicely said and awesome gifts PrivateParts.. :D

My wife and I, we bought a TV-set (finally). We said to each other it's our Christmaas gift (we bought it almost a month ago). She claims it was my idea to buy it, I'm convinced it was hers (she wanted to watch some sports on big screen). Though I'm glad that I have a TV-set, I really don't like watching TV. So I'm happy that I received a dvd player on Chrimstmaas eve. :D At least I can watch some movies I like. As for the rest of the gifts, they were as usual.

It was the first Christmaas of my son, and he, too, like K-Town's got a lots of presents. He was much interested in tearing the wrap-papers than watching what is really inside (he's 8 months old). The funny part is we (my wife and I) didn't bought him a present. We just thought we could buy him anything anytime not during the prime harvest time for mall's.

I hear ya :( I feel same about crowds, worrying about what everyone WANTS, how to afford it. But yes, it's about giving whatever you can comfortably do. Even if it is just being with someone in person or on phone for some enjoyable time. :D This is why I've long had qualms about the wish list tradition and Santa.
Probably the roughest Christmas I've had... :D

Sorry to hear that man. Care to say why ? :D

Would say, but don't want to drag down, or hijack the thread. Was referenced in a post in the Senior Council forum though if you want to check there. Anyone else who really wants to know, can PM me, but it's not expected. Not here to get a bunch of sympathy. Happy Holidays everyone!

Okay, understood. I think i found what you refer to by checking all your posts. I wouldn't think of it as looking for sympathy, but in the right place with the right people, at the right time, there's nothing wrong with more privately atleast, explaining the frustrations. I have gotten opinions and different ways of looking at things that sometimes make my outlook less negative or more positive. I'm in a similar boat. Keep your "sails up", wind behind you, steer the course of least resistance for less stress and more peace of mind, avoid possible storms, don't put anyone "on the plank", watch out for pirates and "shallow" people ... I mean waters. I sometimes let the "negatives" (frustrations)win and think more about them. this makes enjoying the usual enjoyments like gaming, hard, as the negative frame of mind carries over to all i do. Sometimes it takes someone else to remind me to count the "positives" too. Like, health, job, place, food, etc ... Getting my thinking, outlook and attitude to atleast a neutral state if not positive planning/thinking. I found a bit of drinking (polar bear cola;-) and enjoyable gaming helped sometimes to get mind off of thinga and relax tensions for awhile. But MODERATION is important as I occiasionally catch myself forgetting. Having understanding people helps me to understand the directions to consider steering my ship.

I'll pm you to be more specific. Forgive my attempts to give possibly humorous way of thinking of things here if they don't help. :D
