Personaly id go with the first one but asking is the hardest part and there right when they said that you only go through high school once, I think that asking girls to dances is one of the harder things, and untill this year it has been for me also since I have a girl friend now but the best bet is to just try, sure you may get shot down, which stinks but there are plenty of more fish in the sea and don't get discouraged

Medic if you do not already talk to these girls I would break the ice and start a convo in school. If it works out I would ask em if they wanted to hang out somewhere. If you get to go out somewhere for fun, if you are both having a good time, I would move in for the kill and ask them if they want to go to the prom with you.
