A geek that plays contact sports and works in a Steel Mill.

GO PITTSBURGH!!!!!!!

I voted other but after thinking about it some more, im really a geek but the things i know most about are not technical. I know guns, very well, just ask phrogg about that.

nope i can't say i'm a geek or a nerd.

i do play on line computer games, but i don't know even the most basic of things about computer.i think PC dummy best descibes me

neither.....i dont spend much time on and i have a pretty big social life
Where's the Fonzie option? Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhwho am I kiddin'
"No Sir". :D I mean, I respect everyone for their different likes and dislikes. I prefer not to "label" myself or anyone with one word that usually doesn't reliably define another person accurately. Unless they continually annoy me like some riders on the city bus. :) :D

here is my deffinition of them:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.

A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.

A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.

so i qualify as both.

I prefer not to "label" myself or anyone with one word

I have one word for you Hogan.

GOOF :D

Well, I wouldn't say I was a geek, nerd or Dork.

I have many friends, I love computers and gaming, I love my lady and the little one, I love having fun and getting wasted, I like everybody until they prove themselves stupid. I give everyone a chance, even those that people say are not good. I figure it out for myself. You never know what you might find in someone that nobody likes. :D

In high school I played hockey, table tennis, basketball and I liked the prehistoric computers we had too ( 1983 ).

I went to dances and parties and stayed at home and played Atari 6000 too.

So what am I?

I like country music, rap, rock, disco, every kind of music.

I wear geeky clothes and I dress up pretty damn good too.

So, I don't know, if any of this makes me a geek or dork or nerd but I like everything pretty much and don't care if you don't like that I like it.

Well, I guess I'm a geek. I know things about computers, and spend ALOT of time on the internet/games. I'm a geek about the Dodge Neon, I know things about the different year models that most people wouldnt know, nor care to know, but as a custom neon builder, and designing Neon race engines/cars, I guess I HAD to learn that stuff. I'm going to school to be an IT computer nerd, so whatever. I hate that people think to not be a geek or a nerd, you have to be ignorant. I have a huge social life, I love WATCHING sports, I couldnt tell you who was on every team, or even name someone from every team, but I'm a fan, not a fanatic. Like flip said I can bounce from one social cliche to the next without missing a step, I was a percussionist in both concert and marching band. I can play any percussion instrument there is. In high school I played 17 instruments during the halftime show. :D

Everyone is a "label", Geeks, Nerds, whatever. I think people are too worried about what people call them behind their backs than doing what they enjoy.

Which both are you speaking of?

That sums it up for me. I don't care anymore what people think and I wish I was more like that when I was in my teens than just now when I am older.
