K2 and BF2... what happened?

Featured Replies

Okay, so I downloaded and installed the patch over a week ago... I really have wanted to play. Here's my problem:

When I load the game and try to connect to a server I CTD (crash to desktop).

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, twice. I have tried running battlefield2_code.exe and re-entering my cd key after a reinstall and then patching. .... and then running battlefield2_code.exe again. I've reinstalled DirectX.

Anyone else had this problem? I couldn't find a solution on EA's forums. HELP I WANNA PLAY BF2 AGAIN!

also try to reinstall your video drivers I did that once to fix a similar problem

hmmmm... try do determine if video prob or bf2 or other ... you said when you try to connect to an online server ...

do you get into single player ?

if single not work then my guess is bf2 trying to load video drivers not setup anymore properly for your system. try changing video options and applying. then rechange video setting to something minimum that should work easily. by resetting bf2 video shader config file this way it may clear up and reset.

if you recently changed hardware or video drivers, try going back to earlier video driver that you know worked.
