btw Gator, the server was completely full last night for about 2 hours.

 

Oberland and another bad map killed off the crowd.

 

If you would be so kind as to setup a favorites maplist, it would really be appreciated by anyone that still comes to play.

 

MY suggestion would be,

 

Durandal, sandblast, sand, river, Upham, Iwo, Bashrah, Force, Marie, coldwar, Caen, Bocage, Golan, Balcome, Ps_desertCrisis.

 

1 more Special Favorite, would take some searching, but PS_Swamp is also a great old map.

 

Leaving out the other maps would be a good idea, as they were often hated (oberland, splinter, willow) and often times would make players leave the server at the idea of even playing them.

Ask in all chat if admin playing or looking at who in there with hlsw. They can change map to any in the available list.

obj_armory and oberland are going to kill the server population. I'll probably be on sometime since I need a new power supply on my gaming computer, leaving me with my less powerful laptop.

This is depressing, I got to play some really good games today in FA..

and between some dropped connections (steamed) and 1 or 2 crashes, I had way more fun playing FA than anytime I can remember in Bf2...

 

It loads liek 20x faster, plays better, I get better fps, and have alot more fun.

 

Bf2 for me, is just an orgy of unfortunate events that lead to one team being the victor. its way buggier, has like 50,000 more whiny ppl(yes I know its a lot more popular than FA ever was), and just seems to instigate a crowd of l337 punks pissed about anyone stealing a microscopic gain to their own greedy ranks.

 

At least in Fa, kills and per map ranks meant something.

 

I dunno guys, I really miss the days of stompin the FA servers and playing with all u guys, and I still think FA for what its worth is still the better game.

Then instead of snidely critiquing us, HELP US KEEP FA ALIVE! That's all I've ever wanted from day one. I know you did too and it has turned into something else. For what it's worth you're welcome anytime you want to come and be a part of either finishing it or being a member of the community.

Hehe, been a long time. Some dudes back at school around like September somehow managed to drag me back into playing CS 1.6, so lately I've just been owning faces with my scout.

 

Can't wait until Firearms 2 comes out though. That'll definitely give me some incentive to buy HalfLife 2
