March 21, 200620 yr ok guys heres the scoop... i start up FA (no problems), Noticed BTD in the server so i figured i'd join him... but i get into the server and start running around then it kicks me and shows this error (screenie below). March 21, 200620 yr I just tried it and it works. There were others as well. I would check the Steam forums and see if you can find a solution.
March 21, 200620 yr that eror says steam validation error more or less saying it cannot verify your steamid. any problems with any other servers? if so you may need to reinstall steam and hl and then FA just an idea...
March 21, 200620 yr I get that type of error every one and a while. Restarting steam usually allows me to play without a problem.

Sorry to hear that. It's been a long time for me troubleshooting this software. I seem to recall it's safe to find somewhere in steam folder a file with extension .blob . Delete that and I recall it will reset and probs go away for some people. But since your prob just our server, it may not help. As to why just our server, all i can think of that may be different is ping ? Maybe you getting bad connection that is failing to send verification data on you ?
March 22, 200620 yr Author well i guess what happened was that the server says that my Steam ID is "Pending" then disconnects me.... what i dont get is that FA is the only game where my Steam ID is failing to work with.... i'm going to try reinstalling

But it's possible something in "the blob" is incorrect for a specific server info.

March 23, 200620 yr Yes, it's your file: ClientRegistry.blob in the Steam folder who is corrupted, you need to delete it and restart Steam for it make a new update of this file, next enjoy FA! Egidio.

March 23, 200620 yr There is another solution to this problem which does not require u to delete any .blob file. If that error comes just simply log out off steam and then exit it. Then restart and log in...and it should work just fine............
