April 4, 200620 yr That's right... the bug finally got me. As many of my fellow (=A=) Team members know, my wife and 2 month old son were on vacation in Florida last week. They got sick on Thursday and came back Saturday. Now, just 2 days later, I'm laid up in the bed with severe stomach cramps, aches, fatigue, and the worst diahrrea that I've had in my life. No more details on that. I went in to work today b/c we had an important meeting and I had some work that HAD to be done before the meeting. I didn't make it to the meeting and felt terrible for having to cut out since this meeting really encompassed my department... but out of fear of losing my lunch on the client, I passed the torch, came home and immediately got in the bed. Thank goodness for laptops and wireless routers b/c I can't stand more than about 2 hours of TV. If you don't mind, say a quick prayer that I don't get the severe vomitting that my wife did. And please include my son in your prayer since he's still pretty sick after 5 days --- his first time being sick in his life and he get's the flu. Thanks guys. Back to my suffering... (Where's the green frowny face?)
April 4, 200620 yr That's just not right i'm sorry to hear about your little guy being sick. And also about you and your wife i hope you bounce it real soon. figures you finally get your BF2 crap back together and now another absence.
April 4, 200620 yr Really hope you get well soon. And we (my Family) will deffinately keep your family in our prayers. And my Wife is a nurse and she said to keep your little one hydrated, even if you have to use a medication syringe to give him pedialyte. Both my daughters didn't like that pedialyte stuff, but as you know the most important thing is to keep him hydrated. Take care buddy.

April 4, 200620 yr Author Thank you guys SO much for everything. I found out what it is exactly that we have. Gastroenteritis caused by the Rotavirus. Seriously, horrible stuff. I'm wiped out man. After I made that post yesterday, the laptop went in the floor and I spent the next 12 hours in utter misery. I slept in the bathroom for about 6 hours, off and on, last night. Just BAD! Thanks again guys! This really is the most awesome gaming community that there is. Hope to see you guys in game by this weekend.
April 4, 200620 yr I'd be going to battle to try speeding it out of me. Anything germs don't like. Acidic fluids. Salt. Garlic. Strong "drinks". Water for throat after you know what. Good luck. "Artillery denied, already under way."
April 4, 200620 yr Hope you and the family get well soon bro. Biggest problem with ahving children is that the illnesses just circulate around the house form one person to another.
April 5, 200620 yr Hope you are feeling better. My youngest daughter (3) has had it twice this year. I guess I was lucky, because I didn't get it. Take it easy. p.s. Need me to write Tallen a note so you can return to work.....lol
April 5, 200620 yr Get well k2 as well as your family. and if your going to use garlic like what hogan suggested. use bread cool ideas by the way col hogan.
April 5, 200620 yr Damn ,K2 sorry to hear all that,i understand alot of what the whole fam being sick is about. April 10, 200620 yr Reminds me of a time I went to a water park. One of the days there was TONS of people there and I was the dumb one to go in the mass pool. Well the next morning around 4am I woke up with the worst stomach ache. I went out of the RV and layed on a cold sand bank for the next 4 hours feeling absolutly pathetic; I was shivering but couldn't move. I eventually got up and walked around to force myself to toss the cookies after which I felt just fine! Then my bro and sis got it, LOL. So I never go to big pools anymore. I'll pray for yaz dude. . Hope to see you back on the server soon. Yeaaaap. Public meeting places scare me for that reason. Ask Klink if he remembers, when i first started driving city bus, I wore super-grip velcor wrist band curling gloves to handle their passes and transfers and was considering a mouth dust filter, lol. I gave up the gloves when they got slippery on the wheel. No, not from wet passes and transfers, but from drying out from winter road dust. Now i use only my right hand for their stuff and left hand for picking my nose and rubbing my eyes. Also turn fresh air flow at my feet to full when picking up coughing people at hospital. rrrrr. What if we have a pandemic ? :-( I better work on savings ;-)
