Ya the Aviation Industry is directly affected by the economy. If companies are struggling the first thing they sell is the Airplanes and lay off the flight department. And as you may already know Bombardier has not been doing very well for the past few years. They make great products but I think they have no idea how to get out of the hole they are in. Time will tell. And if the gas prices continue to go the way they have been then the only company that is going to have a flight department will be Exxon/Mobil.
April 4, 200619 yr Author yeah i hear that, I think its almost time for a carrer change for me though....Im really tired of being laid off . Need to get into a much more stable job as I have a family to worry about before myself!

Need to get into a much more stable job as I have a family to worry about before myself! Let me know when you find a secure Career field. Society has made us so dispensible its not funny. They could hire you today and lay you off tomorrow and not lose a second of sleep. I know a guy that was hired by our company and gave his two week notice, trained his replacement and the friday before the week he was supposed to start the company called him and told him they made a mistake in their figures and no longer needed him. And when it comes down to it, when you think the company can't survive without you and you are indispensible. They will prove you wrong.
April 4, 200619 yr I Pwn N0obs. But, really I am a bus driver. ...so either way you get to pwn noobs all day long

I work with a few people retired from the air force who were sheet metal mechanics and such.
