"The downside to active camouflage is you will still cast a shadow and you will not be able to fire your weapons." Good. I was reallllllllly worried that the cloaking ability would take away some fun from the game (I wouldn't have much fun watching my entire squad/team being wiped out by an invisible person with a gun...), so I'm glad to hear it's only going to be used as an escape technique.

 

That hovering drone the engineer class will get sounds sweet

I'm really worried about the graphical intensity of this game. I'm looking at the screenshots and they are considerably better than BF2/SF's. Although the game looks to be very cool and very interesting, I wonder if it will even be playable.

I'm also worried about whether or not my computer can even run the game.

 

In BF2 all my video settings have to be either turned off or set on low, otherwise it lags like crazy for me. I can't go into the construction site buildings, palaces or close-quarter areas without skipping, and I can't use the night vision goggles

 

The screenshots they send out to promote the game are of the highest quality, of course, but all the new gadgets/abilities/vehicles make me scared :thumbsup:

since my computer can run bf2, im hoping it will run 2142. It will be the same engine but they said that they are working on some improvements to it.

I'm guessing they're showing hi res settings pics to appear as attractive as possible. Will likely have lower res options too. But as i watched 1st version bf2 fps of 30 drop to 20 after all patches, this will likely further push resources a bit more.
