so i forgot to rename my bf2.exe back from bf21.exe when i ran the update patch and now bf2 wont load. i tried to rename it and then reinstall but no luck. any ideas on how i can fix this???

possibly completely uninstall then reinstall... thats all i can think of.

Delete your bf21.exe, and then rename your bf2.exe to bf21.exe

I suggest in future you make backup copy of bf2.exe and name it whatever.

 

If you used the incremental patch, maybe try the full 1.3 patch. I've had probs before with incrementals then tried full and it worked.

 

But first, try deleting all folders and files in the documents\bf2\ ... dmp folder and cache folder. The try your patch again.
