Computer Gaming Requirements

Featured Replies

CNET has a free class on how to determine if your computer can play any game. It uses two free programs to access your computer and compare it to the requirement of any game. To check your system go to:

www.gamespot.com/pages/system.reqs/popup.php

and

http://gameadvisor.futuremark.com/gameadvisor/service/my_system.jsp

It recommends monitors, video cards, sound cards. and has other suggestions to speed-up your computer.

ok, i will show you guys the results of the new computer TOMORROW. (and no, im not making this up :( )

and if its not done by then, well... youll see a pic of me tearing out tufts of hair off my head D:<.

I wonder how this really weighs the performance? Because it doesn't look for RAID, HD cache, RAM latencies and mhz, etc; which does make a difference. I'll bet I'm up there in the 2% also. LOL 2% of 100 computers right?

Good point. My points are .... still waiting. :D :D

Cool. It identified all hardware/software correctly. Shows me at 55%. or 38% are faster. So ... seems to me as i have said before, EA would have 50 % more sales if they bothered to allow lesser detail and resolution for those that have no choice. Seems logical to me. If people liek the game enough, then they decide to upgrade hardware. But I fell they keep pushing me to upgrade my hardware as each pacth reduced my fps from acceptable levels last summer. :D I feel it should be other way around. Patches should improve fps and video options that they didn't care to spend time on programming in in rush to get game out.

Visual candy is nice for the rich. But i feel bigger sales happen by making software compatible with pcs atleast 5 yrs old. :D Way more game sales and profit compared to frustrating people to consider more costly hardware change.

.

i think i broke it... :D !

i ran it and it didnt show anything for the chart. LOL.
