Impact2oo convinced me to download it. Guess it didn't take much but I am getting it nonetheless. It may be awhile before it actually downloads (server is full) but I am trying.

 

How does everyone like the game so far?

OH and the damn thing is taking forever to just download.... I've been at 0% for over an hour.

I knew you would get it jpenn... It is definitly fun & different. I downloaded it this afternoon around 2-3 pm and it took 6 minutes to download and install.

 

Both you and eaglez are better off if not downloading now to get to tomorrow morning to start download.

Its not bad. I enjoyed it so far.

Tough review Jpenn. I was afk for awhile so I just let it d/l while I was gone. I am installing now so I will play it tomorrow before work.

The little birds are really easy to fly and maneuverable. Good fun.

Is it possible to have an AF shortcut?

I don't think so as its a booster, not a program. It just added onto the existing folders.

The armored slugging matches are amazing.... In one round last night, there were close to 12 armored vehicles fighting across a river with 2 bridges. Infantry was either engineer for repairing or anti-tank. This was probably the most fun I have had in any BF2 game so far.

 

There are anti-air vehicles and emplacements everywhere. With the heli armor "nerf" they almost aren't worth flying, but I notice the good pilots can still get plenty of kills, so I don't think there's that much to complain about. This booster pack really means it when they say "armored fury" Besides, living on the east coast, I really like playing in these areas... I almost feel I know the highways I cruise in my M1A2.

My fav map is the PA countryside. Plenty of wide open space for tanks to cover. Can get into some long range tank battles and maneuver together like real armoured columns do. The sky with the clouds and lightning are pretty sharp too.

yeah I figured that it was 90% tanks, "armored fury"; so I'll be trying that out.

 

But then again I know the fun of the game really depends people working together. Can we run another server =A= with it and cut the SF down for a little while; I ask for the cut because I was getting some shuttering on the SF last night. I just need to play with some people who know what the heck they are doing.

 

The only thing I don't like about the helos is they are hardly rotate at a proper speed, especially the big helos. So far I only like the Road Rage map.

Our BF2 server was running armored fury, and it had 30+ people in it. I had a blast playing it last night with fatty, bravo, killian, ice, river, cmeat and several others.

 

Your expecting too much jpenn. Its EA, but they did a nice job with this booster pack. granted the air vehicles armor is nerfed but it's still fun bombing. Plus this is a change and as fatty stated it was really amazing seeing 6 tanks on each side of the bridges battling it out. the buggy's are alot fo fun to drive in this game, especially going across the fields in P.A.

 

Btw the little choppers are alot of fun to fly, a little getting used to, but fun.
