I might be biased towards the USA but that ref really suxored and ruined the game for both teams. If only you could Boom headshot them in situations like that.
yea, I was watching it earlier and the refs are terrible! the red cards are getting outrageous
i figured the iti's would have wiped the floor with them after their last outing against the czech's....good for usa...ghana beat czech...usa still has a fighting chance if they win against ghana and italy lose to czech or vice versa...draw=no good

the ref's have been told to come down hard on bad tackles. The elbow from De Rossi was shocking and deserved a red, as did the lunge by the American fellow, however im not sure what ahappened for your 2nd red, i was out shouting at the neighbours.

Anyways, how much do the commentators mention England in America. Obvioulsy since im in UK thats all they talk about and it makes you physically sick.

It's like watching an NHL game on NBC. All you hear about is Carolina and then you put on the real network CBC and you hear both sides.

Yeah but the ironic thing is. He put his whistle away with 20 minutes to go. He barely called anything and there were instances of people doing the same things that got Red cards earlier for.

ROFL, good one Klink. CBC is completely biased towards the Oilers, it isn't even funny. Watch tonight's game and say otherwise, I dare you.
The cards are rediculous now. I watched spain and tunisia the other day and it seemed like every foul got a card. I hope Fifa changes their ways. BTW; I do admit....Italy was lucky to squeek away with a draw!

hehe, i watch my hocky on cbc, or i turn the sound off and listen to the radio anouncers.
Atleast they slacked off near end ? I saw an interview with refs once. They sometimes try to set a good example at start, especially important games, which usually get blamed on poor reffing, that both sides are to beware of "losing it", so to speak. They do this in hopes to remind players to keep it clean. This might work if they called against both sides equally or tried to. Doesn't always happen. They try to back off near end so outcome is not determoned by just them. Ofcourse it's all easier said then done, depending on players and some good actors drawing penalties against other team to get advantage that way.
