August 10, 200619 yr Keep the server and try the Beta 2142. I know BF2 Beta was Fun and good. It was misleading since BF2 came with a lot of unexpected bugs and patches. If 2142 is fun and seems like a good game. We can run a server and and see how the fan base reacts. If not. See what else is out there.
August 10, 200619 yr I voted for SF mainly because that was the whole reason I was attracted to this clan because there's only a handful of good SF servers. I wouldn't be all to sad to see the money be saved and used for 2142. I'm also starting to grow tired of BF2 to a point. I say go with either option 2 or 3.
August 10, 200619 yr Well, from a social aspect, I say we keep the server up and run vanilla and SF. That give us "home", if you will, in the clan realm and also gives us an opportunity to meet more people whether they're potential recruits or not. If we remove the server then most likely it'll be harder to get everyone together to play and we'll end up being scattered out more. What happened to leagues or scrims? Maybe that'll spark some interest and get folks in the server. My $.02. Well I thought option 3 was a joke but maybe it seems like it could be a good idea, but I also agree with oneshot and I really think our server would stay much more populated if it wasnt for the crashes. But saving the money possibly for 2142 might also be wise. It all comes down to the server crashes...the reason we havent been playing on our own I think is because its much easier to go to a server that is already populated rather then trying to start up our own. I think we should wait a week or 2 after 1.4 and go from there then we can see how the server does w/o the crashes(hopefully). And if it doesnt stay populated then maybe it would be a good idea to shut it down for a while(at least until 2142 arrives) :flame:

August 11, 200619 yr I voted to save the money because it will be only a month or two before 2142 comes out. That way we will have no problem having a server up and running. Just though I would remind those who do not know how much it takes to run a server. It's not free.

August 11, 200619 yr I'm fairly sure our server would stay populated if it wasn't for the damn crashes. No doubt. Untill they fix that I do not see a point in keeping the server running. If the next patch does fix the crash like they say it will, well i guess we could see how things go and then decide. Otherwise, i'm with option three. Save our funds for 2142. Hopefully that will sweep us off our feet.

August 12, 200619 yr alot of us have been playing on other server for several reasons. 1. the (=A=) team dominates other server clans when he play together, and it's fun seeing them type 'wow the armory clan is good' 2. alot of us are burnt out of SF. so we play Vanilla BF2 3. since we dont have our vanilla BF2 server running we play on others. I say we do either option (1) or (3) from the vote poll. When we all meet upon vent we pick a new server to play on and dominate them, this also 'spreads our wings' as others haven't heard of us will see us in action. And we can even have good players who hopefully will turn out to be good people as well wanting to join our community. This will also save our funds a bit as well. or Shut down our SF server & start up our Vanilla Bf2 server and see how that goes for a little bit.

I'd be interested in putting up a 2142 server as well when it comes out. between 2-3 clans we could have quite the successfull set of servers. We at nwg are fiddling with the idea of throwing a bf2 Mod server up. I will keep you informed.

August 20, 200619 yr I know 2 AF/EF servers that are usually populated during the day and evenings. One is Armoured Fury and Euro Forces - La Cantina RANKED #2 (64.34.240.106:16567) and the other is 24/7 ARMORED FURY & EURO MAPS [uTAC] (209.160.64.92:16567). I'm usually at one of those two. I'm still looking for a Vanilla/AF/EF server. "The Perfect General" dont know the ip but ive been playing there a lot lately. Its a pretty good server i think its vanilla/af though
