I applied for the beta but didn't get a key. Was my beta spot reserved?

FilePlanet is screening all users registering for the beta. Keys for the first round of the beta are VERY limited and only a few people will be able to play in the first phase. Those keys are on a first come, first served basis.

If you received a key, you were one of the lucky few, hardcore members that got in the first round of the beta.

If you received a message that your spot has been reserved, you have passed the screening but all the keys for the first phase are currently depleted. You will gain priority access into the next phase as soon as it opens on the Thursday the 24th.

If you were thanked for pre-registering for the beta and told that additional members will gain access soon, you are on our contact list to get in the second phase which starts on the 24th.

Why couldn't they have just done it like bf2 :D totalbf2142 is having a contest where you have to answer 4 questions and they will be giving away 15 keys tomorrow. I did it just hoping I would get lucky.

I'm with you gator

If you pre-registered don't cancel the subsciption. you will get the keys soon enough. there will be 3 phases. the beta won't be released to the public until the last week of september.

Also I'll post in the 2142 beta testing forums we have a dedicated server available to test the beta in the US. of course this will allow us to get a number of keys.

So far the game looks really good and the weapons sound great. the intro music and all is alot better. plus there's snow everywhere even falling from the sky...weee :D

the air vehicles fly like choppers just with better handling and manuverbility. The MEchs are alot of fun and HUGE! So far so good except for the crash to desktop which EA is known for.

Sounds cool impact, but what would a bf game be without the ctd's? Hope the dedicated server thing will work...lol. Your making me wanna play this.

we would have alot of fun in this game. Also once we are all playing together we can really give some good input to EA.

Sounds pretty sweet :p

I am just way to tired of these damn companies screwing all us of for some damn rat race! For get it.

I'll wait till the free beta or real deal comes out. October isn't that far away.

I couldn't agree more.

I just wrote them and requested a Beta key NOW!, or a full refund of my money. EA is directly releated to the Devil himself. :p

I will let you all know what their reponse is.

Sorry to hear that Gator, don't give up yet :D
I will download it this night. Hopefully the old Battlefield Spirit will come back to me..
sounds like fun but i am going to wait for the free beta to come out:D
I have registered, but all slots are full. I have to wait, until i get a e-mail from fileplanet. Sniff.. sniff.. i have to wait until next week..

Here is their response to me after I requested to be given a key or a refund:

Greetings,

Unfortunately the Keys for the first round of the beta were VERY limited and only a few people were able to play in the first phase. Those keys were on a first come, first served basis.

The next phase will start on Thursday the 24th. At that time if you are on the waiting list, you will be able to retrieve a key. If your information has been collected, we will be contacting you on Thursday the 24th to get a key.
