September 23, 200619 yr now picture this situation (karkand is a good exmaple) the non-US team has all the flags bar the US spawns... what should they do, go whistle and cook marshmellows till the US gets off their ass and fights their way out? whining about spawncamping/base raping is the easy way out.. Taking a base somewhere else isnt... Exactly... LOL And, no where in our rules does it promote base/spawncamping, so we're not activivly saying, come in here because we allow this. it just doesn't disallow it.. It's a tactic, and part of the game... TFD
September 24, 200619 yr I don't like base camping either, but its part of the game. It causes added stress for the opponent, because he must pull troops who would normally be capturing/defending flags. Who is going to enforce this rule? I like to enjoy my game, and only care to stop and remove blatant violators "only". We have a hard enough time getting players as it is, so do we remove every player that comes near the main base? I personally want to enjoy the game, and not spend most of it watching the main base for violators. The "language" is in place to keep the server friendly, because that is what we are all about. The server's "auto-admin" takes care of this most of the time. I agree with Gator also. We can't afford to remove every person who does this. We would have no one left in our server. I have been on the receiving end of it, and although i agree its no fun, it makes the team work together to get them out of your base.
September 24, 200619 yr Hmmmm. An old saying is "All's fair in love and war". But I don't think I like that saying anymore. What I would say is that although a WAR game, as a game it is like a sport, where good sportsmanship would be "the better part of valor". Soooo ... if you have insufficient flank defense, etc, and get "sacked", regroup and try to do better knowing their tactics. Regardless of how many reins you have left, since they will quickly vanish if you have only one flag anyway.
